November 2000 (http://web.archive.org/web/20001119180500/http://www.finheaven.com/) was a year when the Jets were good, the Patirots were bad...the jets 6-3 and in 2nd place (behind the dolphins of course...) and The Patriots were 2-6 :wow: and hey look our good friends the Colts were in our division... at this time the FinHeaven Poll was
"The Jets play the Colts this week, who would you rather see win?"
that question today is easily answered...The colts...but then it was 50-50... o btw the Phins next game was against the chargers...you probably watched it.

about one year later... November 2001 (http://web.archive.org/web/20011130034051/http://finheaven.com/) both the Phins and jets were tied 7-3. Last game Miami beat the bills 34-27. Finheaven's Site poll was Who wins the Gameball for this week? Jay Fiedler, Chris Chambers, Oronde Gadsden, The Defense, or the Special Teams (my guess was the D...) Some quotes on the site were
"This was probably, in the top two, three, one wins that we've had while I've been coach." - Wannstedt
"In the huddle, Jay was calm, and when the man at the head is calm, everyone else is calm.'' - Gadsden

An article of the site was
Pursuing Hutchinson a Must

Perhaps by the time you read this article, quarterback Chad Hutchinson will have been signed by a NFL team. Let's hope that the NFL team that signs him is the Miami Dolphins. Hutchinson is a former Stanford quarterback who left college two years early to pursue a career in baseball. Now he is looking to pursue his football dreams, and there is no lack of suitors for his services. One of the teams pursuing Hutchinson is the Miami Dolphins. Hutchinson is 6-5?, 236 pounds, with excellent arm strength and a very promising reputation as a prosp...
Less than a year later, November 2002 (http://web.archive.org/web/20021128234647/http://finheaven.com/) the Colts were out of the east. Miami Still in 1st, 7-4, by beating the Chargers 30-3... and Jets struggling 6-5 who shared the same record as the Patriots. FinHeaven received a new look. The site poll was
After Lucas' performance this week, do you think Fiedler should play if he is healthy vs. Bills?

Some news AJ posted was

After this weeks game against the Chargers, Ricky Williams surpassed 1,000 yards with a 29 carry, 143-yard performance. It marked his 6th straight 100+ yard game, which is a team record.

Furthermore, if Ricky Williams averages 28.8 yards the rest of the season, the Dolphins will owe New Orleans a second-round pick in the 2003 draft. The pick could be a first-rounder if Williams averages 88.8 yards the final five games.

and hey look...this icon used to take you to the FinHeaven Store...
also Patrick Surtain was Fined...
Ethan Skolnick of the Miami Herald reports that cornerback Patrick Surtain was fined $7,500 for unnecessary roughness against Denver in the Octoboer 13th game Lets Skip to December 2003 (http://web.archive.org/web/20031230054328/http://finheaven.com/)
Looks like miami finished 10-6 (better than the jets and bills 6-10) and hey i got some news no one liked when they heard...
It's Official: Wannstedt Is Back...

[FinHeaven] Updating previous reports, the team announced that Dave Wannstedt has signed a 2-year extension, putting him under contract thru the 2006 season. The announcement came during today's press conference at team headquarters in Davie.

Team President Eddie Jones also confirmed that the team has begun searching for a General Manager, who will be in charge of all football operations. Jones disputed media reports, stating that none of the candidates on their wish list have been contacted and that the search began only this morning. Jones also said he anticipated the list to grow now that the team's intentions have been officially announced and that the team hopes to have about a half dozen candidates.

Jones also stated that current Vice President/Player Personel Rick Speilman is indeed a strong candidate for the job. Speilman had been rumored to be a candidate for the Detriot GM job. But Matt Millen has been retained as President and GM for the 2004 season.
look on a bright side...FinHeaven got a new look...

BREAKING NEWS: Ricky Williams Retires at Age 27...

Williams has retired from football at age 27, playing only 5 NFL seasons.

"I just don't want to be in this business anymore," Williams told the Miami Herald. "I was never strong enough to not play football, but I'm strong enough now. I've considered everything about this. Everyone has thrown every possible scenario at me about why I shouldn't do this, but they're in denial. I'm happy with my decision."

"I'm finally free. I can't remember ever being this happy."
