ok look at this. I made a league for me and my friends. Its a keeper league and there is only 7 teams. I have modified the starting roster to it looks like this.
2 Qbs
2 RBS
2 Wr
1 TE
1 K
2 DST

and its up to you on whos team is better!!!!!!!

TEAM 1:

QB: McNabb, Brees, Rivers
RB: Alexander, C. Williams, Rhodes, T. Jones
WR: C. Johnson, Chambers, Horn, D. Jackson
TE: T. Gonzolez
K: J. Reed
DST: Bears, Panthers

TEAM 2:

QB: Hasselbeck, E. Manning, Roethlisbuger
RB: L. Johnson, McGahee, Dunn, Benson
WR: S. Smith, Wayne, S. Moss
TE: Shockey, LJ Smith
DST: Colts, Jags
K: Graham

I personally think team 1 is better because......

McNabb this year is on a misson to prove he can play w/o Owens.
Brees has ALOT better recievers this year with Horn and Stallworth.
Alexander has been UNSTOPABLE for years now and hes a TD machine.
Williams now has earned starting job and can focus on a great season.
Johnson is no doubt Palmers go to guy and will score alot of TDs
Chambers finally has a QB and this year will be huge.
Gonzalez has always been a beast this year is no different
Bears have easier schedule this year so its a record in the making
Panthers have a great D and team so they will get me alot of pts.

now my backups may not be well known stars but heres why theyll be useful

Colts have had a great running sytem the past decade think abt it. Faulk and James both did famously in INDY so Rhodes should have no problem getting yrds and TDs.

With the injury to Cedric Benson, Thomas Jones will get the nod and he should rack up some TDs.

Horn now has Brees and im sure that Brees will throw alot to him. Horn has been a great receiver but just has had Brooks so now this will be a big year.

yup team 1 all the way

WR: S. Smith, Wayne, S. Moss
TE: Shockey, LJ Smith
DST: Colts, Jags
K: Graham

QB: Hasselbeck/E.Manning >>>> McNabb/Brees
Advantage: Team 2
Hasselbeck and E.Manning are both Top 7 fantasy QBs. McNabb is good, but his best year statistically was with T.O. in 2004 (gone). Brees is with a new team/new system, coming off injury.... I'd say he's maybe #15 fantasy QB.
Also, Team 2's QBs are YOUNG, coming into their primes. Better for keeper leagues. Also, Rothlisberger is a least proven to be a good #3 QB, Rivers could develop, but it's a Question at this time (both are same age).

RB: L.Johnson/McGahee > Alexander/C.Williams
Advantage: Team 2
I'll take LJ over SA (by a nose). For production it's close. But, LJ's YOUNGER (for keeper league), so that's the edge to LJ.
McGahee vs. Caddy is a toss up. McGahee should bounce back once the offense improves as a whole. Will Caddy stay healthy all year? For durabilty issues, I'd lean (slightly) to McGahee.
Backups: Dunn/Benson >> Rhodes/T.Jones
Dunn > Rhodes. Rhodes may lose starter role (this year or next) to Addai.
Benson > T.Jones. Benson will be back any day now from injury. Non-issue. T.Jones is older, and Benson's getting paid $30 Million to play (not backup). Long-term keeper league: Benson is WAY better than T.Jones.

WR: C. Johnson, Chambers, Horn, D. Jackson > S. Smith, Wayne, S. Moss
Advantage: Team 1
C.Johnson = S.Smith. Toss-up. But C.Chambers > R.Wayne.
For the backups, I think D.Jackson = S.Moss. Horn is a fine #4 WR.
Slight edge to Team 1.

TE: Shockey > T. Gonzales
Advantage: Team 2
Yes, Gonzo's been a beast in the past. But in 2005, he declined. I think at most, he's going to be EQUAL to Shockey in production in 2006. Shockey's on the rise, Gonzo's starting to get older. Keeper league - Shockey's the better pick (youth). Also, I like that Team 2 has LJ Smith as a strong backup (for bye weeks/injury insurance). Who's Team 1 going to start in Bye week or injury?

DST: Bears/Panthers = Colts/Jags
Advantage: EQUAL
Too close to call, and really, all 4 of these defenses are Top 10...

K: J. Reed = Graham
Advantage: EQUAL
Too close to call. Both have pros/cons. Who cares, it's kickers...

SUMMARY:
Personally, I like Team 2's:
QBs (hands-down),
RBs (slightly - mainly for youth of LJ & better Backups esp. Benson),
TE (youth & solid backup).

Team 1 has slight adv. on WRs, but only slightly IMO.

Defense & K - equal.

Both teams look good however...

I like Team 2 if Smith stays healthy.
