View Full Version : Hitman Movie Script Review

The script faithfully respects those basic elements and it translates well on the page. Its all there - the cunning and stealth (http://www.latinoreview.com/scriptreview.php?id=29#) of Agent 47 along with his use of disguises. Those basic elements are what made the games fun and successful, hence the 3 sequels. If all you had to do was shoot through everyone to get to the target or boss, it would have been no different than any other 3rd person shooter out there at the time.

This is a movie based of the hitman series. Being a huge fan of the hitman series I was worried about the movie and script to it being way to action oriented. After reading this im more excited for the movie.

My favorite would be Jason Statham. http://imdb.com/name/nm0005458/

Although I have no real problem with Vin Diesel.

How does it have disaster wrote all over it? Very good director, good script onlything questionable right now is Vin Deisel. Yes it's a game to movie but im sorry that doesn't automatically make it suck...

I've played the game: fun but not much of a story, I can't see it being translated into a good film(except maybe on an ironic level). And Vin Disel makes Stallone look good, so having him star is going to make it stink.

See I like the story to hitman so I don't see your point there. As for vin deisel I wasn't very happy for it but who knows. I love the fact they are actually using the stealth in the movie and disguises.

Yeah, he looks a tad miscast in your mock... I like Hitman a lot, and I think Diesel is ok in what he does, But I would have thought of a relative unknown for the hitman character. It would have played better if you ask me.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I really like Vin Diesel and his movies. As a fan of his and of the Hitman series, I'm eagerly anticipating this one.

I like vin deisels work its not that he just does not have the voice to fit hitman I think its a italian/new york mix and just does not sound same. Hitman is a very articulate english voice. I mean vin diesel could suprise me I just would have liked Jason Statham more.

Well Vin Diesel has been dropped from the project and has been replaced by...

Deadwood's Timothy Olyphant. I'm a little disappointed cause I like Vin but Olyphant is a badass too, but in a very different way. I wonder how he looks bald though...

He is also doing a movie based on the The Carthaginian general Hannibal . Hes playing hannibal that should be a good movie also.

Also he didn't play a big role but he did fine in saving private ryan.

Then Find me guilty I have not seen but I heard he does a very good job in it.

I don't think he is a bad actor just took a few bad movies like XXX.

Timothy Olyphant is a BA...he was my favorite character in 'Girl next door' and he plays a good 'small' role in 'gone in 60 seconds' {the main cops partner}....good choice imo....but wouldve also liked statham

Statham is great in The Transporter series...would have been perfect for this role IMO. However, Olyphant isn't a bad choice either.

Yea atleast we don't know what to really expect from Olyphant in the role. He could do it justice. I could picture vin in it and it didnt fit. Stratham would be perfect fit to bad they didn't get him.

Statham plays the same guy in every movie he's ever starred in. Hitman would have been no different. I don't want to sit down to enjoy the Hitman movie and end up feeling like I'm watching Transporter 3.

Olyphant I know can play this role and play it well. I've seen him in almost every Deadwood episode and several movies like The Girl Next Door, he's got a doctorate in badassedry. My only concern is whether or not he looks OK bald, but who knows if they'll even have him bald?

They will want to maintain an easily identifiable connection between the game and the movie for promotional purposes.

I agree that he is a good choice. They went outside the box with it and I think it may work.

Yea I like that they went for him I atleast don't know what to expect where as vin I kinda knew what to expect.
