Following on the heels of Dell recalling 4.1 million laptop batteries, Apple computers are now recalling 1.8 million of the Sony made laptop batteries that can overheat and catch fire. After hearing of this I thought that I would post it in case any of you have an Apple laptop and need to know of this development and I have included a link to help you out if you have one of these affected batteries.

Here is the AOL News link for the main story (I hope it works its my first time posting a link):

My 17-inch G4 laptop battery died a long time ago, then my harddrive died. :( Not bad though for 5 years old, only problems I've ever had with it.

Yep, I have a Dell laptop and just checked it...the batteries get really hot...luckily mine is not one of these batteries, however.

My old G3 is still kicking. Changed the battery about a year ago. Never had a problem with it. Hoping it lasts for one more year.

cnn said this morning that only 10 had actually caught fire. This is out of the almost million now recalled batteries.
