I acquired a copy of the disc last night (don't worry, I'm buying it when it comes out, I just couldn't wait another couple of weeks to hear it!) and I can sum it up in three words.

Ho.
Lee.
****!!!!

Guys, easily the best Maiden album since Powerslave. Not one filler song on the disc. Rocks from start to finish, Bruce's voice never sounded better, the writing is light years ahead of the last two CDs, and the overall production is very similar to Piece of Mind.

Buy this the DAY it comes out. :rawk:

Im not a heavy metal fan but its good to hear that they are still making good music after a long layoff.

I'll get it the day it comes out. I will admit I liked Brave New World but considered it highly overrated, and I haven't played Dance of Death since the year it was released....but I liked the initial single.

I haven't seen them since 86.

I had the chance to see them a few years ago at Ozzfest.

Unfortunately, I missed out.

Den...those US dates are only on the first leg of the tour. They'll be coming back through the US next Spring.

Rumor has it that when Priest releases their next album they'll team up with Maiden for a MASSIVE US tour.

I will be able to die a happy man if that happens.

Since the Canadian release date was pushed back I've had to wait....

Until today. I'm heading to my local A & B Sound in about an hour and ahalf to pick 'er up....

Up the Irons!

Great record...

I've only listened to it twice all the way through so I don't have any true faves yet, the whole thing is great from beginning to end...

I'm HOPING they head out West at some point.
