I'm kind of glad we had a scare early, and that the defense was tested a bit by having to play a tight one. I'm not worried about the offense, they will come around and put up yards/points. It's the defense that needs to play well for us to have a chance at anything this year. Hopefully the kicker figures it out also, if he did his job I wouldnt have been sweating as much

The defense I'm not too worried about.

People were figuring GA Tech scoring more than 10 points, and we did a good job on Reggie Ball's elusiveness.

As you said, the offense will be fine. Travis Thomas did a nice fill-in job for Walker at the end of the game.

The kicking game, I'm extremely worried about. But hopefully it was only the first game jitters, and will get his act together.

Burkhart, the freshman, has a pretty strong leg.

Well, I could definitely argue that it was one game. That it was a hostile crowd and an underrated GT team. If ND gets past this month (PSU, UM, MSU) they will definitely have a shot at the end. ND was only favored by 7 points so they werent exactly expected to dominate this game.

I'm not saying we are the favorite, or that we're the best team in the country. But we arent out of anything after tonight. I mean, ND did win the game.

Both OU and ND played VERY underatted teams tonight, both did not play thier best...their is plenty of football left and Jon Saunders made that pick and I would be glad to play ND for the NC

thank you, trying to remember his name would have bothered me all night

Yes Texas played a high school team and ran up the score....OU played an underratted UAB team and won by 7. All we need is time and exp. We will be fine by the Oregon game which will prepare us for Texas.

We have a shot at winning it all...however right now we have a long way to go...as does every team in the NCAA

Yeah, dont think that is going to happen. Cal looked just horrible tonight. Lynch is a good back, but they have big questions at QB and their defense cant tackle.

Tennessee just looked sick out there. I dont know if Tennessee was taking out some revenge from last year, or cal was playing like crap. Or a mixture. All i know is i wouldnt want to be an SEC team this season playing them. They looked scary!

if theres 1 thing i know as a FSU fan, and playing the likes of the U the first game of the year. you dont see the real team agaisnt a good team week 1. for football, you need some type of preseason or warmup game. GT is a good football team, ND is better though. i dont think ND will win it all, but i didnt think that to begin with. They are still a top 10 team though.

nice pics, the cheerleader jumping is cool and the fourth one of the runningback is as "classic" a pose as you could hope for.
