Not like Maryland is a good team. WV at home, no reason why they shouldnt win this pretty easily. Their only challenge is the Louisville game.

Maryland is going to take themselves out of the game if they turnover the ball.

Damn Slaton is crazy fast. I guess I understand why all they do is run the ball now.

Even their fumbles become Tds :shakeno:

How 'bout that schedule. They looked great, I'd like to see them against some of the other top teams.

Actually, so would I ...

... @ Louisville on a Thurs. night will be a good one

... @ Pitt (Backyard Brawl) has always been a battle - but, now Wanny's in charge there so ... :sidelol:

... BCS Bowl opponent (TBD)

Yeah its a shame, I know it'd be impossible for everyone to have the same strength of schedule but it really goes from one extreme to another. I'm not sure how much weight SOS carries in the BCS formula, but IMO it should be a good chunk.

that opinion wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that UF has the toughest schedule in the nation, motionbaby?

 More so that going through the SEC undefeated any given year is a feat in itself.

I'd love to see WVU play Florida's schedule basically. I'm not saying either team is better than the other, but if both were undefeated at years end, Florida/Auburn/LSU definitely deserves the nod based on the strength of their schedule.

I'd love to see WVU pick up a couple out of conference games too and be able to prove their ability to everyone. It isn't like WVU turns down games against top opponents just to schedule teams like Eastern Washington. Most teams don't want to play WVU and will not agree to a 1 for 1. I don't think WVU is a school that has to pimp itself out to play on the road every year at other top schools.

They signed a deal with the SEC and they set us up with Miss St. How is that our fault. After that we get Auburn which should be a nice matchup. I am sure next year someone will step up and fill a game on our schedule.

Teams in the SEC have a brutal schedule every year and it has hurt them by not being able to go undefeated. Still it bring excitement to those programs and generates alot of dollars. That championship game is also a big challenge. Sure it is nice to have and it does bring in alot of money but you can work all year to have the best schedule and lose out to the bcs game. I give alot of credit to any team that goes undefeated in the SEC and this year definately would get a nod over an undefeated WVU. Then again we did play the SEC champion very well in our bowl game so who knows  .

One point I would like to bring up is the schedule looks soft from the point of view from week 1. In Week 12 when Pitt, Rutgers, and/or Uconn are listed in the top 25 it could show to be a decent schedule. The BigEast has come to play so far this year and this weekend is a big way to show how improved the teams are.

I am pretty sure Maryland is dropping us and will not play us next year. It is scheduled so maybe next year is the last and they just said they will not renew our contract. I know VT will not schedule a game with us anymore even though we have played them for over 50 years. I am tired of trying to justify their schedule. It really could use 1 out of conference game against a tougher opponent. The BigEast is a better conference now and it will show in the final scores.
