Cincinnati linebacker David Pollack (http://bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5500) will be placed on the injured reserve list, ending his season, after breaking his neck during the Bengals game Sunday.
DD.com comment: Word around Cincy is this "might be" a career-ending injury for Pollack, the Bengals first round draft pick in 2005. But, only time will tell how this play out....Meanwhile, here is some info on spinal cord injuries and the C6 vertebrae (http://www.sci-recovery.org/sci.htm).

This is too bad if he is done for his career. I thought he was going to be a pretty good linebacker.

Didn't he play for Georgia in college? I hope he recovers...lucky he is still alive and not paralized...makes you realize that life is more important than playing football.

I hadn't heard any of this yet.
Wow, it's good to hear he'll recover but I hope he is a guy that can really think things out and walk away from the game if he has to. Paralysis is not something you want to toy with and once you have an injury like this....
