My guess is OU wins.

I have never been impressed with Mack Brown. Yes, they won it all last year. However, can you name the last time Texas won a BIG game (not including last season)? I know I can't.

Ole Mack even said he stopped trying to coach Young last year and just let him run wild and do w/e he wanted too....so what Im trying to say is, no Vince Young, no win. Bob Stoops is a MUCH better coach than Brown, however this wont be another 65-13 win for us (I hope so though :D) it will probably be a light shoot out in the high 20's low 30's

Think before you speak - Texas beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl the year before last. And throw in a Big 12 Championship!

Texas win it easy

Vince Young won that himself...thats when the "let Vince do his own thing" strategy started

EDIT: also they didnt win the Big XII in 04, we did

well so much for that. and so much for the "what ifs" involving the loss to oregon.

The most impressive thing to me about this game were the first two series of the second half when we shut down OU and then scored 7. Usually it is OU making the adjustments. I was worried after the 2nd quarter when OU dominated.

This win is for all those Mack haters.

As sad I was to see OU lose, I agree with your post. Kudos goes to Mack Brown for actually making the right adjustments. Good coaching job.

Has anyone noticed how much Mack Brown's stock has risen and how much Bob Stoops has fallen? Who would have thought this 2 or 3 years ago?

I really don't think Stoops has fallen so much as the favorable perception of Mack has increased.

I have had issues with Mack, most notably his handling of the Simms/Applewhite debacle and the special team fiasco at the beginning of his tenure. However, I do believe the whole Mack cant coach bit is overdone.

I think you could count on one hand the schools who would not take Bob Stoops as their coach if he was available. (Texas being one of them of course)
