The funny part, If Tejada is found guilty. Maybe Palmerio was telling the truth! lol

If Andy Pettite is on steroids then what are steroids?

Because my definition must be all wrong.

and Roger Clemens too? He's a big guy but that's hardly muscle built.

Look, about 80% (or more) of MLB was on something at some point within the past 5-10 years.

This report pretty much just proves it.

All this report may do is get Palmerio into the Hall of Fame. Because if Tejada IS guilty of something. Then Palmerio's story of....."Tejeda gave me something, never told me it was steriods"........is actually believeable on some level. And if there is any doubt, you gotta put a guy with 3,000 hits and 500 home runs into the hall of fame.

When it comes to steriods. They were all doing something. Even the "good" guys who nobody suspects.

Read about steriods.. They always help you recover much faster, perfect for a power pitcher like him..

True. And maybe Roger the past couple years not starting the season in April. Maybe he has to clean out his system in time.

It makes sense. Pettite is always injured, that makes sense too.

And not to sound racist (although it will come off that way) all of these latin ballplayers (ie Tejeda...etc) are on something. Everything you read is that these guys are just pill popping crazy in the locker rooms.

That's why Ortiz back when that Twins pitcher got caught earlier this year went off on how most of these latin players can't read english well. Have no idea what the actual steriod rule is and can't read whats on the pill bottles or whatever they are putting into their system. Because Ortiz knows in the latin community almost all of those players are on "something". Whatever that "something" is......who knows

Latin players are a tight group, it wouldn't surprise me if players or even agents passed them around..

I am still waiting for Grimsley to come out with all the Royals players he played with were using..

Pettitte??????

Andy is one of the few nice pro players I've had the pleasure of meeting. A class act and big into FCA at the pro level. If this is true, it really sucks.

you know, palmeiro actually took a lie detector test, and passed it. that story came out here locally a few months after the fact. the sports radio shows were actually wondering why if they had this they didnt atleast make everyone aware of it. i hope palmerio gets vindicated... i believed him...

i dont understand where this comes from? when Palmerio pointed at Tejada, he pointed at a b12 shot that Tejada gave him, not steriods. so what exactly are you talkin about?

they were asking palmerio if he didnt knowingly take steriods where could they have come from... the only thing he could think of was a b12 shot that tejada gave him, effectively saying it might've been laced w/some steriods or something. the orioles got pissed off cuz he threw one of their star players under the bus, so palmerio went byebye.

and the way Palmerio talked on march 17th, 2004 up on the hill, he would have to be a total moron to be on anything. especially at this late stage in his career where the records he was going after were all but guarnteed.

this is all starting to come together. Palmerio is gonna come out with a big I TOLD YA SO, if Tejeda is found guilty of anything

Call me crazy but I actually believe almost everything Canseco and Grimsley said. Why lie? Especially Grimsley who if he's found lying could be in deep trouble. I'm surprised Pettite was named. Clemens has been rumored for awhile (including last year when leaked reports were going around saying Clemens and I believe Johnny Damon tested for riods) and considering how bad he was in Boston the last 2 years in the mid-90s to what he is now it makes sense.

Jeff Brantley on Baseball Tonight said he talked to someone as close to the investigation as possible and said Grimsley did not name the guys listed rather the investigators brought up those names. Which leads me to believe that their is atleast some dirt on those guys and the investigators are just trying to get certainty. Who really knows but it's another black eye for baseball. It's funny that nothing ever comes out about the NFL but as fans am I supposed to be naive enough to believe that those guys aren't doing the same thing?

Please, Reggie White and Walter Payton. BOTH died of side-effects of long time use of steriods. The NFL just does a better job of covering it up!!!!

The Investigators probably got some dirt on these MLB players listed and they figure by throwing the spotlight on them, maybe one of them gets nervous and starts talking. They probably don't have enough now, but they want one to poop their pants and start talking to cover their own assssss and get immunity or something.

I'm sure investigators have something on the guys that were named. They wouldn't just throw their names out there for the hell of it. I mean Clemens is a big name that has been link to the juice, ditto for Tejeda but Andy Pettite, Brian Roberts and Jay Gibbons?

I don't think investigators would just throw those 3 names out there when there are other (bigger) names that are/were suspected.

Exactly but like I said the NFL is in much better hands than Bud Selig. I don't think guys will talk and if they do they're going to get what amounts to being blacklisted by teams. Fans hate Bonds for allegedly doing 'roids and having his best years when he should be dramatically declining but turn a blind eye to Clemens who just posted like a 2.30 ERA at 44. That's all natural right?

A lot of it has to do with personality too. Bonds is hated by 98% of the population and keeps acting like a jerk. While a guy like Giambi is a nice guy to everyone so he's forgiven.

It's not that Giambi is a nice guy. It's that he is the ONLY one to confess on his own.

Other players look at him as the guy who took the bullet for everyone. He coulda played stupid like Bonds and Sheffield. And the others who only talked when they got caught. Giambi got OUT IN FRONT OF EVERYTHING, and said..."I DID IT, I'm SORRY"

That's why Giambi is so well liked by everyone

And I want to see the double standard IF Clemens is found guilty of anything.

Beacuse if he is, then keep his asssssssssss out of the Hall of Fame!!!! If your gonna punish Palmerio and McGwire, then you gotta punish CLEMENS!!!

But because Roger is maybe the greatest pitcher of all time. Or at the worst the greatest right handed pitcher of all time, he will get a free pass on this.

What's the over/under on when Roger announces his retirment from baseball? A week or a month?

the difference between MLB and the NFL.

Reggie White dies from side effects of steriod use. And the NFL gets 10,000 people crying at his hall of fame induction. Walter Payton dies of side effects of steriod use, and the media move him up on "the chart" of greatest running backs of all time. And get the pregame shows to do cover stories on his son and his son's plight as a football player following in his fathers footsteps.

Palmerio gets a failed steriod test he has to grow his hair out, gain 20lbs, up-root his family, and move halfway across the united states and go into hiding. And if Barry Bonds died tomororw, people would be dancing in the streets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THAT is why the NFL is KING when it comes to sports in the USA. They put the spin machine to work better than the RNC!!!

another thing to come out of this.

Is Bonds really cheating if almost everyone is on the juice?

It almost makes the records Bonds break are valid. Since the playing field WAS equal. they were all on it

It still makes all of Barry records bogus.. The playing field was Equal??? Was Derek Jeter playing on the same level as Miquel Tejada if the rumors are true.. Since when is everyone on the juice, we have heard like 6 names..

the liver disease that Walter had is very rare. Pretty much the only way to get it is through steriod abuse many doctors have claimed. But, the NFL does a good job of keeping that quiet.

The Sleep apnea Reggie died of is also a common side effect of steriod use. Reggie had other issues, but many doctors do believe that long time steriod use didn't help his other problems and caused his sudden death.

MikeO

If Jeter's name came out tomorrow nobody would be shocked.

The number of players who at one point during the past 10-15 years were on "something" is so close to 100% its scary!!!!!!!!!!

Not everyone did it for a long time, but "almost" everyone expiermented with something at some point.

You could add 100 players to the list. My point is the NFL does a good job covering all of this stuff up. Especially for the "good" guys like Payton and Reggie. They protect their legacy and image and hide the warts.

Reggie had other issues, but many doctors do believe that long time steriod use didn't help his other problems and caused his sudden death.but see, only certain steroids are very harsh on the liver and they do no good in football anyways...d-bol, winnny, and anadrol...others are not "safe", but they also arent as harsh as many people think they are...i find it very hard to believe that they died from steroid abuse..do you know that their abuse must of been 10fold? they must have been popping winny pills, drinking a bottle of vodka and smoking cigs on a daily basis to have that type of liver disease..what kind of liver disease was it?
