I wanna know what you guys think. Zach, Jason, Chris, Randy, Ronnie, Wes, or Daunte. I was just wondering what you guys thought out of curiosity.

It's gonna happen sometime man, we lost pat and sam in two years. Nick Saban is cutthroat.

None of them.

Dante was brought in injured with no expectation of him starting. This year is a learning year.

The others will be slowly replaced over the next 5 years.

Chambers may become the #2 but they won't cut him. Zack will be allowed to stay as long as he is willing to accept less money and playing time as his abilities diminsih.

JT may hit the wall physically, he could get traded or released in a few years.

Ronnie is good for 4-5 more years.

Wes's stock is going up

Randy will be replaced with some 3rd or 4th round pick in the next 3 years.

None merit being cut.

Why would we cut our best players? You are aware that Chris, Ronnie, Randy, Wes and Daunte are all under 30 right? No offense man, but this is a terrible thread idea.

Why would Chambers become a #2? He's a pro bowler. Maybe in 5 or 6 years he'll be the #2.

It's always tough to call a running back's fate, but I think Ronnie is safe for longer than that.

3 or 4 years for Randy? Isn't he like 27?

Ronnie would be a big cap hit if we did cut or trade him...i see nothing of those players in this thread gone next year...

this thread is ridiculous

all the players like chris, ronnie, daunte, etc have been signed to extensions

daunte's contract is through 2013

why cut the people we are going to continue building around?

the oline needs to be cut and fixed, if we had a better oline we would probably have a better record

that and a better OC

You don't just cut players because they cost a lot of money. You cut the guys that no longer perform to their contract. All of these guys are basically our team. The problem is, they don't have anyone to create room or time for the skill players.

Booker is the number two and he was a Pro Bowlers. 2 reasons for Chambers being the #2 would be...

(1) We draft Calvin Johnson this year and he is as good as advertised.
(2) Chambers isn't the best WR in the leauge. He has head less than 5 catches most of the games he's played. His #1 job isn't locked up.

yea seriously, what is this? im not trying to be harsh but why would we bring up the topic of cutting our best players...not to mention that we just got daunte, ronnies in his second season, randy and wes are still young, and chris chambers is comming off his best season, and JT and Zach have been the leaders for this team for nearly a decade and will most likely retire as a fin.....why would any of these guys be in threat of being cut???

Do you honestly believe we will draft a WR with our number 1 next year? Have you seen the holes on this team? WR is probably the last position we need to worry about right now. It's also pretty hard for Chris to make plays when Daunte gets 2 seconds to throw the ball every single play. What do you want him to do, run a 2 second 40? You all bashed him last year then he went off for one of the best 6 game spans of the year by any WR

I was talking worst case scenario.

They might draft another WR, and if that guy outplays CC they would make him #2.

Randy is a TE. Look at the life span of a 'gamer' at that position. HIs best years have been wasted under Wanny. how many 30yr old TE's are impact players still?

RB's have a short life span as well. Guys like Faulk, Edge LT who are used in the passing game get several extra years, guys like Priest Holmes, Clinton Portis, Jamal Lewis who are used alot and are bruisers have about 5-6 years before they decline.

It's cold, but not every body gets to play 10 years of 'prime' football.

That being said, I hope for long careers for all of them.

maybe they'll cut everybody, and bring in replacements, like that one movie...Leaving lost Vegas.
