It is one of our weakest positions. Landry knows sabans system and allen will be ready. Those two could be GREAT.

There are plenty of LBs who fit our scheme. Hell, Penn State runs the closest thing I've seen to what we run. Because they have 3 LBs and 3DL on the field, then they have Tim Shaw either standing at the line off tackle, or playing back. He's doing what Jason taylor does for us.

Patrick Willis, if we're past the 5 spot.

Dude is sick. 'Nuff said.

I say draft Landry. Just to play alongside Allen. Landry and Allen would be a great combo.

I'd be happy with Landry or Willis to be perfectly honest.

I think Landry is more of a playmaker, but I really like Willis.

Let's trade the guy in your sig, on the left, to the Dolphins. They gave up a 2nd for Feeley, surely we can coax a first out of the....Oh wait...

i think we'll get a 10th pick or worse so i think willis would be a great pickup for us. throw in a trade for zach and maybe we can add a 3rd and continue the youth movement, cough, cough and attack our future lb corps

I have the belief that Willis could play OLB no problem so we can eventually shift Channing Crowder back into his natural position in the middle.

I know one thing, if we draft Landry . . . our safety position would be settled for the next 10 years . . . no if's and's or but's. However OL (don't matter where on the line, BPA, we just need talented youth), LB and CB IMO is much more priority than Safety . . . Allen and Bell could be dynamic for us. Also if a playmaker is there ala Calvin Johnson/Adrian Peterson . . . u have to think about it.

BPA besides QB and RB, IMO. Take a player than can have immediate impact, and is a definite playmaker. Unless Joe Thomas is there, I don't want to sniff a tackle if its an early top ten pick.

If we hadn't drafted Crowder a couple of years back, I would of been all for Willis. But we did, and Landry already knows the system. That's why I picked Landry. Don't get me wrong, I would still be glad we picked Willis. But it'll be like last year, when I wished we picked up Manny Lawson instead of Jason Allen, though I still think Allen was a great pick.

Yeah. Let's ignore out most pressing position(s) and take another defensive player.

Since this current OL can't open holes or keep (brand X) QB upright. Those newly drafted defensive players will see awhole lot of action.

It's rumba football.

Draft Landry (S)or Willis (ILB)!!!

NEITHER!

The premier positions of choice in the 1st round are QB, RB, WR, DE, OT, and CB according to historic fact...so LB, S, and C/G's are positions with pro prospects that slip well into the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

We are going CB, OT, or WR in the 1st since we don't have a "dire" need for QB(Culpepper,Harrington), RB(Brown,Williams), or DE(Carter,Roth,Wright bros,Taylor).

Picking a position that we can get in the 2nd and 3rd round in the 1st when we have a "dire" need for a CB, OT, and WR...is absolutely PREPOSTEROUS!:shakeno:
