Budd...I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. My dog passed away last November and it was one of the few times in my life when I really cried. He was my best friend for 11 1/2 years. I know it hurts just like losing a part of your family. I think all you can do is just remember all the good times.

dude ive lost a ton of animals, it hurts like crazy man. i cried to. only time will help ... immerse yourself into your guitar, maybe wait a bit and then get another puppy, someone else to love that will help ease the pain. especially if you adopt a stray and your responsible for saving and improving the quality of an animals life.

Budd I'm sorry for your loss. I know how it feels to lose a pet. I had a Cat that lived to be 18 years old. When we left Minny my sis took it I was depressed. Well about 2 years ago my Sis came down and brought my cat. She was a real mess but the thing that got me when I saw was she remembered me. The 3 months that we had her she sat by as I played video games watched tv. When I came home from school she was about to die. When I was laying there with her she then began to die, as if she was waiting for me to say good bye. Sorry again Budd it sucks to lose such a close family member like that.

:boohoo: Sorry to hear about it friend. My dog passed away a few months ago b/c of cancer. It was our 2nd dog that we had. The other passed on a few years ago b/c of a brain anuerysm sp?

Time will be the only thing to heal you man. That or getting another dog really quickly to try and take some of the pain away.

Just know that every living thing dies eventually, so it will always be hard.

My deepest sympathies. I too lost my dog last year and I loved her. In fact when I go to my moms house out of habit I still look for her at the backyard wall where she used to always greet me. But as others had said all you can do is remember the good times and the love that was shared. Keep your head up.

Nope - nothing. My parents had too many rugrats running around the house. Then when I got married, I guess I followed the tradition. I think I bought Meghan a goldfish once, but it died the next day.

Goldfish suck though. No offense to goldfish owners, but they aren't anything you can really get emotionally attached too I don't think...unless it is cool like Nemo...Nemo was awesome...but then again, he wasn't a goldfish...so there you go...

Dude....that suks....i just lost my dog two weeks ago...:boohoo:remember.......

"Farewell master, yet not farewell. Where I go, ye, too, shall dwell. I am gone, before your face. A moment's time, a little space. When ye come where I have stepped Ye will wonder why we wept."

Everything will be fine. It helps to make a little shrine or sonething to ease the grieving process.

There's nothing or no one more loyal or happy to see you come home than an adored pet. Those are enduring pictures of a steadfast pet who lived a great life. You and your family are responsible for his having a good life, so remember that when you're feeling sad. I have volunteered in animal shelters, and I know this is not always the case.

Take solace in that you provided a safe, happy haven for your Pug, and you also enjoyed the benefits of the loyalty and love.

To all of you who've posted that you've lost pets, you've all done the same. You all have given the helpless, dependents a wonderful life, and though it hurts, all are better for it.
