Staying at a hotel in Miami tonight, I go on deck in the morning. I cannot wait. I will ship out to boot probably next week. After those eight weeks, I get two weeks of leave before heading out to EOD school, followed by Dive school, Jump school and Repel school.

make me proud, sea-men.

seriously, congrats, fook lots of mermaids, and catch
lots of fish. But careful at ports on R&R, there are all
sorts of illdoers looking for sailors.

Woah, Pass, you joined up? Forgive me if I'm a litle late on all of this, lol, I was gone for quite some time remember.

Anyway, as far as dive school, good luck with that. My best friend's dad is an instructor for that (and he is an instructor in the dive portion of SEAL training) and from all I've heard dive school is friggin' intense. We had a friend who went for it and flunked out, and he was a great student and in great shape. I'm not sure if you are talking about the specialist dive school or just the basic course I'm assuming you take since it's the Navy, but if it's the actual dive school, I wish you luck man, because it's pretty tough.

Thanks everybody, your thoughts and wishes are very much apreciated. As of 4:23pm today, I am now enlisted in the United States Navy. Unfortunatly, there are a few things in my way. I did not qualify for EOD with my 2400 vision, while my buddy Kuiper with whom I am doing the buddy program did. I still plan on going EOD since I will get the lasic surgery once I enlist, but I had to swear in as a Master of Arms. We both have to wait 90 days for our security clearance, so our current ship out date is April second, though it could be bumped up as soon as February. I am very disapointed, but I want to do EOD more than anything else and I am willing to wait and go through MA training to get there.

congrats man, MA should be good training for what you originally wanted to do (didn't you want to be a cop?)
