Leaves kill me! Can't see the big rocks, so you go fast and hope you roll over, Its real wet now from the storm, I was a mussy mess, in fact I need to go to NYC with the wife in a few for a wedding (marathon weekend, these people don't think!!) and my sit is all muddy!

Yeah its pretty narrow, and he did it all by himself and had to get home with a broken shoulder.

Yeah, people think of Jersey and they think the turnpike and the crap, but most of Jersey is very nice, from Mountains, to oceans, farmland.

we built a course at a place called Ten Mile Creek. There is a very narrow path often only a foot wide with a twenty foot drop into the creek if you blew it. We had a procedure tho..we would stop by the bike shop or call a friend on the way in, if you did not call by sunset, someone came looking. If you remained on the creeks bank after dark, you were not top of the foodchain until dawn...BIG gators. And you'd never get unclipped and clear of the bike before you hit, so injury was likely. I bear several scar's from that track. :)

Nice pics NJ!!! MY dad is from Philly and he has told me about some nice places to visit in Jersey. I have only been to Wildwood where I had one of the best summers of my life when I was 9. I have to head out East one of these days. I also have been to Cape May and remember seeing the light house. Mountain biking is really big here in Colorado.

Its funny, but people see Sopranos, see the turnpike pics with the oil containers, see Newark airport and they think that is NJ. Yeah there are bad parts, but you can find them in any state, but there are so many nice areas here, Mountains where I am, West Jersey has farms, and mountains, mid Jersey has a ton of farm land, south Jersey has some great beaches.

I must admit, I'm guilty of that.
Nice pics though. You've shed a different light on NJ for me.

I'll still take coastal Maine over anywhere else in the N.E. though.

I'm going to post a different ride next time, has some better scenic shots.
It was a great morning to ride, about 40 degrees and sunny. I love to get out by myself once in a while (No Mountain lions to worry about like you, just rattle snakes and bears!), you get to stop and see the sights better then when your with a bunch of other riders.

Do post some pic's of your rides, would live to see them!

common misconception.
In reality, there is less urban, and more rural in NJ.
The Pinelands running up through the middle, the shore to the east, The mountains up north, the Bays, forests and watersheds in the South.
Tony Soprano's NJ is the Newark area... a small patch in the NYC area.
Then there's Camden... a small patch in the Phila area.
Those are the areas that everyone pictures when they think of NJ.... when actually, it's a very small percentage of the state.
