Specialty beverage maker Jones Soda Co. will soon offer new green pea flavored soda to add to its roster of flavors like fish taco and salmon.

Green pea is only one of the unique sodas being offered by the company alongside with turkey and gravy, dinner roll, sweet potato and antacid flavor. These flavors will be marketed as part of their $10 to $15 "holiday pack" of bottled drinks to be distributed nationwide.

Chief executive of Jones Soda, Peter van Stolk, said the line of strange-flavored sodas is a fast seller, even though he himself cannot consume the drinks.

Other flavors produced in the past included broccoli casserole, corn on the cob and Brussel sprout.

"Why people buy it is beyond me. I can't drink a bottle of this stuff," said van Stolk.

Jones Soda, manufactures traditional sodas with unusual flavors like fufu berry and green apple.

"We have the market share leader in turkey-flavored beverages," said van Stolk. "We know we can't compete with Coke or Pepsi by playing their game, but we know they're not going to come out with a turkey flavor or antacid flavor."

My daughter loves Jones, and with the pictures on the labels she collects the bottles. There are tons of them lined up in her room.

Yeah, my wife actually made a label that got accepted and put on bottles awhile back. Pretty cool concept by Jones Soda IMO.

I like green pea soup but a soda??

The worst soda I ever tasted was Shasta Diet Chocolate, but this sounds worse.

If one letter in "pea" were changed, this soda would be the same soda I've been secretly serving to little leaguers for years....
