One of these days the poor FG kicking is going to lose a game for the Gators.
Its about time they use a scholarship on a real kicker.

Same here

On a slightly different note, the game is on ABC for me and I'm watching on the ABC high-def channel, but as is usualy with ABCs HD football coverage, it is NOT in widescreen, instead I have two huge grey bars on the sides and the picture definately isn't HD quality, it looks like standard def to me, maybe slightly better on some angles. The Texas/Texas A&M game was the same way yesterday, it's annoying, is it like that for anyone else?

I think that has a lot to do with the nature of the leauge. Right now it's going through a top defense phase. Also the SEC is more of a smash mouth leauge. It's not a.... I guess "finesse" is the closest word I can think of... like the leagues out west.

Also, Casey Dick hasn't played all season. Mitch Mustaine played a good portion of the games, not sure how many. Then he struggled a few weeks back and was replaced by Dick. I don't know why Nutt didn't put Mustaine back in yesterday.

not even close to a right plausible reason..sorry

and he didnt throw 3 INTs in 4 possessions either....but knowing bobby and how he favors white QBs, thats probably the correct answer....

Bull***, not a race thing.

Lee didn't show me anything.

either that or weatherford has naked picture of bowden that he will release to the public if he doesnt play really no reason at all to think it's a race thing. both QB's suck, it's not like lee is that much better. everything i've ever heard about lee is that he's AWFUL in practice, so why would they want to play him?

how is it not a race thing?

in the 2 games after weatherford was "hurt" and "benched" for lee.

Lee played very good and went 34-61 for 571 total yards 3 TDs and 0 INTs we scored 57 points those 2 games with him. thats more than any 2 games(not named duke and rice) by weatherford

then Lee starts vs. wake forest, drives our team down to the redzone on one occasion(where we miss a FG), and then throws 2 bad balls that were picked off...with 2 bad throws under his belt, he is then BENCHED for weatherford, he comes in and goes 4-15 for 50 yards and throws 2 picks of his own, but we never see Lee again...reason? who knows...

even then, Weatherford gets the start vs. Western Michagin, in which he then goes 5-10 for 34 yards and when Lee comes in, proceeds to bring us back and goes 9-13 for 144 yards 2 TDs and 0 INTs.

then what happens...Weatherford gets the start vs. UF? wtf is wrong with this picture already? he then plays like **** and throws 3 picks on 4 drives and Lee stays on the bench...

so your tellin me that Xavier Lee gets 2 series and on other occasions has an extremely extremely short leesh, while Weatherford can play like **** like hes done all year and continue to get playing time just because?

no race issue at all? bull****! there is no reason what so ever to Weatherford to get more playing time then Lee in this game. theres no reason what so ever that he should of even started this game. theres no reason what so ever that he should of even started the Western Michigan game or not got benched for doing much worse then Lee in the Wake Forest game. NONE.

there is no other possibility other then Bowden wanting the white QB. NONE.

weatherford in practice = good. weatherford in games = bad.
lee in practice = bad. lee in games = bad.

weatherford and lee sucked, lee would do a quick out and throw the ball in the dirt or out of bounds

weatherford would have an open guy and throw it out of bounds

fsu has no qb that is there problem

Seriously Nappy, from what we all saw yesterday Weatherford was the logical choice to keep in the game. Not saying he is the better athlete or QB by any means but he did actually move the ball. Lee looked lost out there.

Lee looked lost how? he threw the ball 6 times, had one drop and completed 2. weatherford not only looked lost him, but turned the ball over, and was extremely inaccurate in both the long and short passes.

He just looked confused IMO. I know the botched snap and that one really bad dropped ball weren't his fault but I don't know. I just didn't see anything from him. His passes were just as inaccurate and ugly as some of Weatherford's.

yes i know he didnt look good. thats a huge point of mine though. he doesnt look good for 5 thrown balls, and yet he doesnt see the field. Weatherford doesnt look good for the majority of the game, and he stays in.

and Xavier is erratic with his accuracy, every nole fan knows that. but when hes on, hes more accurate then Weatherford, throws a better deep ball, and a better ball and more catch able ball period.

Bowden said himself before the game, Xavier Lee seems to the start the game slow, until he gets into the rhythm. and when Lee is in rhythm...Lee>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Weatherford

again, im not arguing Lee showed his stuff in the UF game and should of been playing, im arguing over the course of the year, hes shown he should of started and got the majority of the playing time. hes shown over the course of the year that he gives this team the big plays on offense, moves the offense better, and gives the offense the best chance to put points on the board. and you would be hard pressed to find a single FSU fan that thinks differently and doesnt think Bowden is a total jackass for the Lee-Weatherford situation, cause we've seen over the course of the year both QBs. and its clear to us.

Was anyone at this game?
I'd love to see the coache's film.
Leak stood back there all freaking day and rarely pulled the trigger down field. I'm beginning to think that he has lost confidence. Obviously, I can't be sure w/o seeing the coverage down field, but I doubt w/ the talent UF has at WR, they were covered so well that Leak couldn't take better advantage of his pass protection.

Its a rivilary game, both teams left everything on the field. FSU had something to prove and they played their best. On paper, we should of wiped the floor with them but they brought their A game.

Whether you're right or wrong about Lee-Weatherford it doesn't mean it's about race. There are many other possible reasons. You don't agree with the idea that the player who practices better should be in the game but most coaches do. Maybe Lee doesn't have as good of a grasp of the offense. Maybe Bowden just doesn't like Lee for reasons other than skin color. I don't know know the reason but there are too many possibilities to automatically jump to race.
