Well, they made it to a BCS bowl. They are only the second program outside of the BCS conferences to do so since the inception of the BCS. Now it's time to prove all you nay-sayers wrong.

Here's hoping for the win over Oklahoma or Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl!

:woot: for Boise State.
I can't wait to see how they do against a top team. I'm very curious. Nothing against BSU, just curious.

Well, unlike USC, Boise State actually beat Oregon State.

Just saying.

A lot of people have expressed that Boise doesn't deserve their ranking nor their BCS bowl due to their weak schedule (90th). Yet, what I think is more important is the fact that they have met every challenge that was presented to them and, in my opinion, that is what makes a great team.

Let's also not forget that they are 39-1 in their conference in the last 5 years and have won the WAC championship 5 times in 6 years, with them sharing the championship one other year. They are perfect against the PAC 10 at home and have only lost once to a PAC 10 school in recent history.

Boise State plays the schedule that is offered to them. When they were invited to play at Georgia, they did so. That Georgia team later ended up playing in a BCS bowl. When they were invited to the Liberty Bowl against Louisville, Boise State was playing against the number one rated offense that year and still made it an exciting game. The fact is, no one wants to play them because the risk vs. benefit is lopsided in Boise State's favor.

This may be the best Broncos team in history, their defense is much improved and their offense is more balanced with Ian Johnson carrying the load and leading the NCAA in Touchdowns. Zebransky has limited his turnovers and is playing smarter football, managing the game well.

I am looking forward to the Fiesta Bowl, or whatever Bowl Boise gets invited to. I know that wherever they go they will be the underdogs, and be expected to be blown out. I guarantee personally that this will not happen, and if what they did to Oregon State is any indication of their ability- they can play with the big boys and win.

I agree with your point man, but unfortunately it works like that for everyone. It seems a lot of top ranked teams are being slammed with the "easy schedule" tag, and like BSU, they can all only play the games in front of them.

I'm all for Boise State!

Big East team fans were screaming their teams don't get the respect they deserve while at the same time they were using the same strength of schedule arguments against Boise they were dismissing for their teams.

Only difference is that Boise is the only undefeated team left out of the bunch that was in that debate.

After all that I find myself rooting for Boise State.
Go Broncos!

I cannot wait. This could Boost I.J into Heisman Contention next year.

I am sure you CAN'T wait, But he will not win the heisman cause of the school he plays at. Its like the Garrett Wolfe situation. The only game next year that I.J. could show off just how good he really is will be a good bowl game and the Heisman will already belong to someone else. He may get invited tho which would be a really great honor.
