like I said in my other thread, I'll attempt a 3 rounder for everybody. Again, I am going by CURRENT draft order so doen't get mad at where I have Miami picking

1.Detroit Lions Brady Quinn QB, Notre Dame I really see no other option for Detroit. Kitna is not going to be the QB of the future nor is Josh McCown. As much as I dislike ND, Quinn deserves to go here.

2.Arizona Cardinals Joe Thomas OT, Wisconsin Obivous choice. Leinart is getting killed, and Leonard Davis (the best OL) is going to leave via FA. Is Thomas a franchise LT? Well, he's better than Gallery or Ferguson were coming out of college so maybe.

3.Oakland Raiders Calvin Johnson WR, Georgia Tech Porter and Moss are on their way out of Oakland, leaving Ronald Curry and Alvis Whitted as the WRs. CJ might not declare if Trech doesn't win a BCS game, but all signs point to him laeving

4.Washington Redskins Gaines Adams DE, Clemson The Redskins get zero pressure on the QB. Gaines Adams will improve that. Whether he becomes a starter right away, or comes in on third down, he will get more pressure by himself than Carter and Daniels have comined.

5.Houston Texans Adrian Peterson RB, Oklahoma No reliable back, and Davis is coming off of a serious injury. Peteson is the perfect pick for Houston.

6.Cleveland Leon Hall CB, Michigan Why you ask? Becuase Gary Baxter tore both patella tendons in his knees, Daylon McCutcheon gets hurt every year, and Leigh Bodden is the only good CB after those two... hell, he might be the only good CB period.

7.Tampa Bay Dwayne Jarrett WR, USC Galloway is getting up there in age, Hilliard isn't that good, and Clayton has not been the most reliable WR in his career. If Brian Brohm enters the draft, this is is spot. If Gaines Adams some how fell to the bucks, they'd pick him up in a heart beat.

8.Tennessee Titans Allan Branch DT, Michigan Robaire Smith is a FA, and Starks is a pass rusher, not a run stuffer.

9.Pittsburgh Steelers Laron Landry S, LSU Despite drafting Anthony Smith last year, I think the Steelers draft a FS that has been a playmaker his entire career. Plus, this is likely Cowher's final year in Pittsburgh so the new coach will want his own player.

10.Minnesota Vikings Sam Baker OT, USC The left side of the line is one of the best in football, the right side leaves a lot to be desired.

11.Green Bay Packers Marshawn Lynch RB, California Ahman Green is a FA, and Morency/Herron are backups at best.

12.Philadelphia Eagles Michael Griffen SS, Texas Michael Lewis is as good as gone from the city of brotherly love, and Sean Considine has only been good in nickle and dime packages.

13.Atlanta Falcons Quinton Moses DE, GeorgiaAtlanta needs aa young pass rusher to pair with Abraham and Kearney, if he comes back. The Falcons take the local product.

14.St Louis Rams Marcus McCauley CB, Fresno State Drafting Tye Hill last year was good, but the other corners still suck.

15.San Fransico 49ers Ted Ginn Jr WR, Ohio State The 9ers continue to improve, but they still need another WR.

16.Miami Dolphins Patrick Willis LB, Ole Miss If Miami is drafting this late, it will come down to Willis and Paul Posluzney. And if you think Nick Saban is going to pass on an SEC player, you are sadly mistaken. IMO you can't go wrong with either LB; both can play all over the field, and in all truthfullness, Willis is probably better.

17.Buffalo Bills Justin Blaylock OG, Texas Buffalo's o-line is not a strong point on the team, and if Blaylock falls to them, they'll gladly take him.

18.New York Jets LeMarr Woodley DE/OLB, Michigan While not an ideal fit for a 3-4 defense, he's better than Thomas (who is a FA), and Ellis.

19.Cincinatti Bengals Tank Tyler DT, NC State The Cincy D-line... leaves a lot to be desired. Tyler becomes the 4th Wolfpack D-Lineman drafted in the first round in the last 2 years.

20.Jacksonville Jaguars Reggie Nelson S, Florida Deon Grant is a FA, and Donovan Darius can't stay healthy. Keep the Gator in Florida.

21.New York Giants Paul Posluzney LB, Penn State Expecting Carlos Emmons,Brandon Short, or LaVar Arrington to stay healthy for an entire year just isn't going to happen. This pick could go a lot of ways though.

22.Carolina Panthers JeMarcus Russell QB, LSU yep, I think he declares. Carolina has been extremely inconsistent on both offense and defense, but a lot of the offensive problems fall on Delhomme's shoulders. Even if he's not 100% the problem, he's over 30 and is not the future.

23.New England (via Seattle)Antoine Cason CB, Arizona Samuels is a FA, and Chad Scott is not that good. Unless they want to keep Troy Brown as the nickleback, it's time to draft a CB.

24.Denver Broncos Frank Okam DT, Texas Mike Myers is a FA and is going to test the waters, but even if he comes back, they have little depth at DT.

25.Kansas City Chiefs Levi Brown OT, Penn State The OTs in KC ain't what they use to be.

26. New Orleans Saints Buster Davis LB, Florida State Scott Shanle, Mark Simenau, and Scott Fujita don't exactly intimidate the opposition.

27.Dallas Cowboys Eric Weddle S, Utah the one weakness on the Dallas D is FS. Weddle could, and would, make an immediate impact on the position.

28.New England Patriots Rufus Alexander LB, Oklahoma Seau is gone after this year, and Vrabal/Brushi aren't exactly young guys.

29.San Diego Chargers Jeff Samardzija WR, Notre Dame BPA. Shark could go higher, but teams might be scared off by his love for baseball.

30.Baltimore Ravens Aaron Ross CB, Texas Outside of McAllister, the CBs for the Ravens have been horrible.

31.Chicago Bears Zach Miller TE, Arizona State After a strong start to the season, Desmond Clark has done his usual disappearing act. Miller gives the bears the oulet pass they've needed for... 3 years now.

32.Indianapolis Colts Aaron Ross SS/OLB, Virginia Tech Gilbert Gardner is not that good, and Cato June is a FA. Ross will not play SS for Indy, but could start right away as a LB.

Round 2 will be posted later tonight.

I cant believe that anybody thinks Quinn is a top pick after watching him throw the deep ball against usc i think he will be a lousy nfl qb. the kid from usc was obviously more talented. Quinn will never be a decent qb in the nfl. thank god we didnt have an option to pick him last year.

I'd take Willis or Woodley, or Gaines Adams if we suck it up and end up getting a 5th to 10th pick....hopefully that won't happen.

I think Quinn will end up in either Detroit or Oakland.....not great place in either case.

Agreed Willis or Woodley if we go D. Otherwise, I think we could use a playmaker at WR.

We need a NT if Traylor retires/leaves in free agency. Wilkenson can't start at this point. I wish we could trade up for Alan Branch.

I hope we end up 10-6, but you never know, we may still still end up in the top 10. We have a tough few weeks comin' up.

I don't understand why Tennessee is going to draft Alan Branch if they already have a 1st Round pick invested to a DT. Albert Haynesworth was a 1st round pick and he is only 25 years old. I don't see any reason for Tenn to draft another DT. Having said that, I'm sure a ton of you are going to say well Albert Haynesworth isn't going to be there because of his attitude. That issue was a one time thing with him. He apologized and all the coaches said that is not like him. So chances are Alan Branch is going to be available when we pick. I would believe that with our need at DT since Traylor might retire and just needing depth there anyway we would be able to draft him at 16.

edit*

Also, Saban will be able to find an OLB or CB later in the draft ie. Channing Crowder and Travis Daniels. That is should we not pick up a CB or OLB in Free Agency. Guys like Adalius Thomas and Lance Briggs probably will be available as well as guys like Nate Clements, Asante Samuel, and I think Ike Taylor.

I don't see us drafting a middle lb as long as Zach will be here a few more
years but I could see us going for an outside lb such as Paul P.

I'll post the next couple of rounds tomarrow, don't feel like it tonight.

The second Ross should be Rouse.

Haynesworth is probaly going to get cut because of the stomping incident, but even if he stays, Branch is better than him and Starks.

Merriweather is not going in the first, lackluster season, and attitude drops him.

And no I don't think Brohm comes out early.

eh id rather wait a year to draft a heir to zach thomas...we need a CB badly, our DBs are getting burnt too many times. Jason Allen and Yeremiah Bell i think are solid for our Safety position, and Travis Daniels is solid for one CB position...but the other one needs to be addressed. we also need to address OG, either sign Eric Steinach/Derrick Dockery, or draft Justin Blalock. but i think we have too many needs to worry about an ILB.

CB, OG, WR. now im not a fan of drafting a WR in the 1st round...look at Mike Williams, braylon edwards, chad jackson...nobody hears about them anymore!

Paul Pol(whateverhisnameis) is a top-notch LB. Smart, too(3.5 gpa). He gets alot of national exposure because of his team. I would not mind Miami going for him if Willis were not available, but Willis is hands-down the better LB. Willis traditionally plays "mike" but can play outside. A scout has been quoted as saying (not verbatim) that Willis "can be an elite LB at the next level; can play in any system, anywhere...."

Dunno why a DE/OLB tweener wouldn't be ideal for an nfl team that runs a 3-4 defense since they all alternate between it and the traditional 4-3 schemes a lot. Plus Saban has twice picked versatile players in the first round.

i liked everything in your draft except.....our pick.

with the LB's that are going to become available (Adalius Thomas, Lance Briggs, Cato June) in FA, i just dont see us drafting one that high. i really think that the biggest question mark on this team is the CB spot and that we need to draft Antoine Cason, i havent seen anything impressive out of Goodman, Daniels is solid, but thats all, and Poole cant stay healthy, we need a playmaking corner and Cason is it.

With the way these guys are playing, do you seriously think Miami will get a shot at signing them? Especially Thomas. June MAY be available, but I am not sure that he would be a good fit for Saban's D. He's just a tad small at 5'11" and 220. He's a converted safety, hence his covering ability. He is also on the way of having his best year at producing tackles. Not sure he will even be available. Lance Briggs would be a nice pickup, but again, he's a staple in the Bears' D.
