Jumping ship again cause another gun is in the holster. He was at first a gator, then at texas, now TCU?? Oh well, Texas has a kid from Ocala that is going to be a good one comming next year as well.

Can ya blame him?

He would never get playing time with Tebow there and is pretty talented and doesnt want to be a backup.

Texas would've been a better team if Snead started all year IMO.

I never liked Snead. McCoy is the real deal and Texas have 5 star John Brantley coming in as well as 5 star athlete John Chiles who says he wants to play QB.

I'm not so sure about that. They were allegedly close in camp, but Colt beat him out, and then struggled early on, and he already had a years experience with the offense. I highly doubt that if a true freshamn (Snead) learned the offense BETTER in one off season than the redshirt freshman (McCoy) did in a year plus an offseason that Colt would have still beat him out. I don't think Snead would have done any better agains OSU, and when he came in against Kansas State it took him an entire half to get into a groove and mount a comeback, which by then was too late (:fire:), then when he came in against A&M he tossed a pick on an ill-advised throw on what could have been the game-winning drive.

Yea, I didn't read the posted article, but the day before I read on ESPN that there were reports but both the school and Snead were denying them. I saw someone posted about him transferring to TCU though, which the article on ESPN didn't mention, so I figured maybe it had become official and that was the school he chose. Oh well, if he stays, fine, if not, it's fine too, I don't think he's beating out Colt McCoy anytime soon after the way this season has gone for Colt (save for the injury and poor A&M game)

Well now it's official:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2683102

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas backup quarterback Jevan Snead (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=183449) will transfer, school officials announced Friday night, leaving the Longhorns with no experienced quarterback behind the injured Colt McCoy (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=175772) for their bowl game........

....The statement did not say where Snead, a freshman, planned to attend.....

They could use a lot of players. But I like that he's going there.

Snead is a more talented player than McCoy, IMO. Bringing a guy off the bench who would not of had the majority of snaps in practice and was cold rather than starting knowing he is going to start the whole week or season for that matter is much different. Anybody who watched the A&M game would've realized that McCoy was not healthy and did not belong starting that game. Snead would not of helped vs OSU because they're a better football team. Though if he starts vs A&M I think they win that game. KSU is a difficult read because he did play most of the game but still giving him full reps as the starter I think it's a different game. According to Scout.com I think Snead was the 6th ranked QB prospect last year but they also had the 12th ranked Qb sign. I was not impressed with McCoy all season and think that Snead is a more talented player.
