Favre Throwing Away Great Reputation
Vick Needs More Work to Truly Become a Leader

At this point in his career, Brett Favre is a coach and broadcaster killer.

Seriously, that’s what Favre does with his foolish play. He makes coaches and broadcasters look absolutely silly.

Favre’s reputation makes it impossible for coaches to actually coach him and for broadcasters to talk about his foolish play objectively.

There is virtually no difference between Favre and Michael Vick. In the NFC, the Packers could be playoff contenders if Favre would manage the game and avoid stupid turnovers. Instead, Favre just chucks the ball downfield into coverage and waits on his groupies to rationalize the mistake.

It’s not about winning with Favre right now. It’s about having a good time, having fun. His groupies in the press box love to talk about Brett’s passion for the game. How ‘bout passion for playing the game the right way? How ‘bout a passion for not being selfish?

Favre’s play is extremely selfish. Favre’s ticket to Canton has been punched. Whether Favre wants it or not, John Madden will introduce him by overstating Favre’s impact on the league.

Five quarterbacks I’d take ahead of Favre: John Elway; Joe Montana; Tom Brady; Dan Marino; and Steve Young.

In a couple years, you can add Peyton Manning to this list. And I’m sure old-timers would tell me Johnny Unitas belongs on the list.

Brett Favre is diminishing his reputation. His groupies need to inform him.

I agree, good analogy of Vick.

As much as I love Marino you could've said the same thing about him..

FALSE!

Dan was a team guy and ALWAYS a team guy. Dan's issue was the fact that Don Shula could'nt draft a runner or a decent defense in over a decade.

Without Marino and the Marks' Brothers the Dolphins would have been historically bad for the last half of the 80's and the first half of the 90's.

Dan could have played several more years at a very high level....the Minnesota Vikings were trying to get him to go play for them, but Dan did what was right for him and his growing family by calling it a career. Dan did not hang his team out to dry, the way Brett is by not retiring so the Packers can rebuild.

If Aaron Rodgers turns out to be a bust then it will be Brett Favre's fault because it will take even longer to rebuild because they will need to draft another quarterback.

Dan also was responsible for mediocre teams making the playoffs, even at the end of his career.

Didnt he beat someone, Seattle I think, with a last minute 4th quarter drive? JJ acted like Marino held him back when the reality is that Marino was still the reason we won squat, even when he was old, had no legs and couldnt move in the pocket. Marino left at the right time. Another year and he would have embarrassed himself.

Yeah he beat Seattle in the wild card round with a 4th quarter comeback.

I love Shula

without Dan, Shu would not be winningest coach ever...
without Shula, Danny would have a ring

JMHO

Brett is playing for Danny's record and his coaching staff is killing the team to allow it...

again, JMHO

Brett's an attention whore.

He loves it when people talk about him, just look at how he's handled the "Am I going to retire" PCs.

Give him a break: he's the only person in the history of the world to have relatives died or almost die AND he was the only person affected(so horribly might I add) by Hurricane Katrina. I think we all need to bow down to Brett and worship him as the Christ-like, no no, Zeus-like God that he is....:allhail::allhail:

why is there so much hatred for successful quarterbacks for other NFL teams? it's become rather comical... has the Marino hangover not yet dried up 6 years later?
