The ACC is very weak, Louie should steamroll them, although I do like the freshman QB at wake, he is pretty good.

i'm excited for this game, two great stories. i wouldn't be upset with either team winning.

The Big East champs (kind of has a ring to it) win this one with no problem, but hey... maybe I'm a little bias. :)

I'm disappointed in this game, though. I was hoping to see UL play a top team. I don't see Wake having much of a chance in this one.

This is one of, if not THE lousiest Orange Bowl matchup ever.

I doubt you'll see much interest outside of the Louisville and Wake Forest fan bases for this game.

I'm located a few hours out of Louisville and there were plain ticket buying and ebay bidding going on this morning at work, The Ville should have some support.

This game really does not excite me. I am happy for Wake. However, I think Louisville is a much better team...

Both are feel good stories, especially Wake given their history. I'm pulling for a great game, Wake wont be a pushover

What a coincidence!

I'm a big fan of college football too!
Being that I'm a big fan is why I'm interested in watching top teams play in BCS Bowl games.
Orange Bowl of course couldn't control the ACC having such a weak year but it dosen't change the fact that this game has stinker written all over it.

There's no interest from me in this game and as I said before I'd bet you'll see some pretty low ratings compared to years past for this matchup.

Personally, I see it as a complete joke matchup for the Orange Bowl.

Based on that you are correct.
Just another flaw of the BCS system IMO.
There are other teams I feel are more deserving but that's for another discussion.

this has nothing to do with the BCS. it's just bowls period. they won their conferences, and those conferences tie in with the orange bowl...

Both teams do deserve to be there. You HAVE to reward a team for winning their conference. Just because it is not the 'sexy' game and a lot of us won't watch much of it you can not take that away from either team.

Sure you reward teams that win their conference with a bowl game.

If conferences become weak with subpar teams for a year you certainly don't have to reward them with a BCS bowl bid however. That's silly and yet another thing that should be tweaked.

Here we go again. It just won't die.:rolleyes2

I bet what really chaf's your britches is if not for one half of bad football, Louisville would be playing OSU for the National Championship. I mean its not like the Big-10 set the world on fire this year either, but they've got 2 teams in the BCS bowls.

You hear that sound? That's you beating a dead horse...

Louisville 42
Wake 28

Louisville once again has one of the top rated offenses in the league. Only Rutgers defensive prowess was able to keep Louisvilles offense in check- but Wake's defense is nowhere near Rutger's talent level.

Good one, but not really.

People have been blasting the Big East for 2 years now about the strength of that conference. I just don't find that a valid argument when you compare them to the PAC-10, Big-10, or Big-12. I don't think any of those conferences distingushed themselves this year as being any better than the Big East. I think all 4 conferences are pretty close to being even. The SEC is a meat grinder so well just let them be...

This is the first year Louisville was in the title picture. So I don't see how that is a dead horse. But get used to Louisville, they'll be in the title hunt next year as well...
