Sorry Pagan....

In a secret product planning meeting last fall, key Ford executives discussed a bold strategy to take the legendary Mustang mainstream. Ideas include both sedan (http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061213/FREE/61211029/1024#) and wagon variants of AmericaĂ¢â‚¬â„¢s original muscle car, with those cars joining the traditional coupe when the sixth-generation Mustang arrives in U.S. showrooms in 2011, AutoWeek sources say.

Let me be the first to say I dont like it.

The problem is the car already weighs a good amount, adding a sedan and wagon will only INCREASE the weight. But hey, a 300 hp boat on wheels was Dodge's strategy and I see a handful of those on the road everyday......

I don't like it either although I am saving up to get a mustang.

Ford's toyed with this idea in the past. I don't think they'll ever do it though. They'd be crucified by us Mustang owners.

Here's the possible wagon version:

Thats not even really a wagon though, more of a hatchback.

Just goes to show you how desparate they are to climb out of the toilet they're headed down.

Dude, they already pussified the car for a period of about 15 years.

Now after a decade of getting right and getting better, they wanna sell out again. :smackhead

IMO, they need to continue to move in this direction

Volvo was successful with their 1800ES wagon in early 70s. I owned a 73 model.

Don't know how to post a picture of it. here's a link.

it doesn't matter what car you have.

they will all take you from point A to point B.

You have a point but so does a skateboard.

Some cars make going from point A to point B more like a mini vacation rather than a simple commute.

You're correct...I've seen the error of my foolish ways.

Why on earth did I buy this:

When THIS would have been just as good?!!!

Like I said many times before: I maybe a Jap freak (mainly Mitsubishi). But I got an appreciation for the muscles, too.
