Why the **** do these idiots make you pay $600 for a system without including the cable? I'm not paying $100 for a cable just to play in HD.

Does anyone know of any cheaper HDMI cables?

I'm not paying the price of a game for a cable ($60) either.

Look around online, you can find cables for under $20.

OMG but you have to have monster cables!!! some might not see the difference but if you try REALLY hard you might!!! plus they look cleaner with the gold ends, and fancy cable skin....

i think he meant that he wouldn't pay more than 60 bucks for just a cable that should have been included with the system, cuz thats the price of a game....

Exactly..............

I've had a PS3 for the longest but I wasn't really playing it. I was playing my 360 because I already had so many games for it. Now, I'm playing it - so I wanted to know what's the best way to get a good cable for cheaper than $100.

I see.

I don't know when the last time I bought a game was.

Gamefly FTW!

You dropped $2,500 for a an HDTV that didn't come with the HDMI cable?

Sucks for you.....my HDTV sure did.

But as for the thread, I bought the Intec HDMI Cable for the PS3 for $29.99. I hooked it up, and then checked out my brother's (he has the $99.99 Monster HDMI PS3 cable) - the quality is exactly the same, well at least for NBA 2k7 it is.

I'm kind've surprised in myself for even starting this thread. I'm the type who tends to waste money like it's nothing, and buy things for the name even if it cost half the price for the same quality.

nah i don't buy that, ps3 should have come with at least component cables....its not hd out of the box....

and if it is true that sony is denying warranty claims if someone is using a 3rd party cable...then essentially the ps3 is 700 bucks....IF you want hdmi

The thing should have come with cables. Should they have been top of the line cables? No.

My HD-TV came with all the cables required but I spent the extra to upgrade them right away.

Boy your a pro at getting ripped off then. Way to announce that ;p

My fridge/washing machine/dryer all came with such. My DVD player came with the HDMI cable. TV didn't but that's because it's up to the component makers (Your not going to plug a DVD players HDMI cable into a PS3 now would you?).

I took the Intec back and bought the Monster for $99.99, but for a reason:

It doesn't make a difference with the PS3, but it makes a BIG *** difference for actually WATCHING HDTV on my Samsung LCD/HDTV.

I just wish my Samsung had two components.

I hate having to plug it in and out've the PS3 and Comcast box.

O'well, it's worth the difference, especially for the HD channels.
