The Rev was just wondering if there are any Christian music fans out there.
I really like Casting Crowns, Chris Tomlin, Barlow Girl and Third Day among others. Here's hoping that I'm not the only one who likes Christian music in this forum.

I was fortunate enough in the day to meet the Blackwood Brothers. I am big fan of gospel quartets

P.O.D. Rocks. I love their music. I used to listen to Stryper. They started out at my church in Downey, Ca. (Calvary Chapel). Seems like so long ago.

Would P.O.D. be considered christian though?

My wife's brother is really into As I Lay Dying, Demon Hunter, Zao, Living Sacrifice, Underoath, & Pillar (Yes, all Christian bands)...I get to hear them every so often when we visit, not my thing, but some of it is decent. I used to listen to a little bit of Mortification back in the day.

Yep! That's what they are. Pretty hard core Rap/Metal/Reggae style.

the 'Mercy Me' song "I Can Only Imagine" literally gives me goose bumps when i hear it. and the Michael W Smith song "Place in this world" helped me thru a bad time in my life.

Oh and Audio Adrenaline. If you like rock. If not Jars of Clay are still around. A good ska/punk band is O.C.'s Supertones.

And of course Johnny Cash!

Just b/c a band is made up of Christian members does not make it a Christian band.

Now that I think about it there are a ton of Christian Bands I like. Anberlin, Switchfoot, and others are all Christian. Jars of Clay and Trust Company, however, suck IMO.

Hey Rev. I like all those too. I've been listening to a lot of Hillsong lately. Can't seem to get enough of them. Switchfoot is another favorite for me right now.

Switchfoot is one of those bands that has crossed over to mainstream like P.O.D. I saw Jars of Clay a long time ago (second row) and loved them. Glad to see some of my brothers and sisters here like that kind of music.
Was able to see Barlow Girl, David Crowder Band, Matthew West and Mercy Me a few months back. I'm going to see Chris Tomlin in March. Really looking forward to it.
