A study by the University of Rochester showed that people who played action video games for a few hours a day over the course of a month improved their vision by about 20 percent.

Actually I been having this argument with my wife for a while, about a year now. That my Eye sight and my Hand Eye co-ordination are so much better then her cause of Video games.

27 years perfect vision.

Same here man. I can bounce a football off the back of my hands for nearly as long as I want. It's a WR drill but I swear to god I'm so good at it because of video games.

I have 20/15 vision and have been playin games since Mario 1 for Nintendo.

Sadly, my vision started screwing up when I was 7 and I started to play games when I was 8.

However, I will say that even though MANY docs have always said your vision will get worse as you grow older. Now, over 20 years later, I am at the same level of messed up as back in the day.

I have not improved, so that sucks, but I sure as hell haven't gotten worse like so many have said would happen.

I seriously doubt the validity of the study. The best you could say is that playing video games doesn't negatively affect your eyesight.

If this study was true, there's no way in hell that I'd have had to get glasses in the 5th grade, and by now I should no longer be nearsighted, but have eagle-like vision!

My vision is pretty bad, because I used to read all of the time. Now, I pretty much replaced reading with playing games, and my vision hasn't gotten any worse in about 7 years. I doubt this has anything to do with gaming but it is interesting to think about after reading this article.
