there's a scam in there somewheres - prolly have to order them through ticketmaster: $15 service charge, $10 handling fee, $10 taxes, $10 shipping charges... $45 a ticket!

Yeah, it sounds a little to good to be true.

Is Ozzfest coming to Colorado? I missed Cradle of Filth last night and don't see many shows on the horizon.

To gain entry into the event, fans will go to www.ozzfest.com or www.livenation.com to find links that will direct them to special sponsor sites where tickets can be secured. More details regarding the process are forthcoming.

Damn... Looks like one of those scams where you have to order a subscription to a magazine and give your e-mail and the e-mails of ten of your friends to get your "free" tickets... Lame...

I'm keeping an eye out just in case, though...

what do these things normally price out at? even if you have to sign up for some herpies cream or something, it might come out the back end still cheaper, and hey, you have some herpies cream!

I saw RHCP for free in Vegas a few years back, thought it was too good to be true also but it was legit. Didnt cost me dime. Weezer opened for them, overall pretty decent show. I'd almost rather buy a ticket for Ozzfest though, it'll be harder to get in if it's free because these freaks will camp out.

Ozzfest Admission - Free

Having to sit through a truckload of crappy bands to see the one or two good ones - Priceless.

I've never been to an Ozzfest, is that how it is? When will the bands be announced?

Usually is. Every year I see the lineup and there's only a couple of bands I'd want to see. No way I'd sit through 8 hours of ca-ca to see two. I'll wait for them to come on tour on their own.

To be fair, the first (and only) Ozzfest I went to was pretty damn good. Only band playing the main stage that I didn't want to see that year was Powerman 5000.

Stick to the main stage and you're pretty safe as far as not having to deal with the crapitude...

That's right. You heard it right. Ozzfest is free this year. How crazy is that. I have been twice and because if this I will go again if I can get some tickets.

http://www.ozzfest.com/news_2007.html

That's right, OZZY and SHARON OSBOURNE and tour producer LIVE NATION broke the news today at the Concert Industry Consortium in Los Angeles that their 12th annual hard rock spectacular--a 25-date extravaganza launching July 7 in Los Angeles--is pulling the plug on ticket prices and giving the power back to the fans calling this summer.s OZZFEST "FreeFest." The other OZZFEST cities as of now are San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Dallas, San Antonio, Kansas City, St Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Hartford, Charlotte, Atlanta, West Palm Beach, Nashville. Note: a final confirmed list of cities and dates is forthcoming.
