I wouldn't be upset by any means, but I'm leaning towards improving the Oline and giving Daunte a legit chance.

I think Quinn is the most pro-ready of the draft crop this year. He's operated a pro-style offense under Charlie Weiss, and I've seen him make all the necessary NFL throws. The only thing that bothers me is his feet. Sometimes his feet are a little too happy, and it throws off his mechanics and timing. That one trait reminds me too much of Joey Harrington.

All said, if Cam likes him after taking a good look, I would trust the decision. At #9, I would take the risk.

I haven't seen many games he's played in. I would think Romeo Crennal would want him at the number 3/4 spot if he's really as good as they say, since he would have a little more inside information I would think with Weis being the head coach of the irish & all, so it would make me a little nervous watching Crennal pass on him, charlie frye isn't the second coming of Marino.

no i dont want brady quinn, i feel we have good enough depth at qb, look at what our qb situtaion could be, Cpep, Lemon, 2nd-7th round draft pick. it is no secret that the dolphisn are gonna take a qb in this years draft but they should hold out and wait for stanton or some other young qb. If we were gonna trade up it should be for calvin johnson no one else. we have culpepper and if he is not playing good we will have cleo lemon to take place while our rookie qb learns. WE NEED TO GIVE CULPEPPER A CHANCE we need to let him be healthy and give him a chance to show us what he can do. i feel he will be fine and back to 100 percent. good things will come if culpep is healthy

02-19-2007, 03:55 PM
yes. wouldnt move up to #2 for him (c. johnson) but if hes there at 7, then we may have to make a move..
either way, i would support him as dolphin.

02-19-2007, 04:04 PM
NO! if u watched him at all this year, he screwed up in all of his big games. congratulations, he can beat up on Navy and Army, but when he played GT(they won but he sucked), Michigan, LSU, and USC, he sucked. I dont want a qb who hasnt proven he can win or play well in a big game

No, not at number 9. If we were drafting in the late teens or twenty's I wiould think about it but definitely not at number 9.

Quinn/Brown/Hagan=unbeileveably bright future......if you really think about it if we have to trade say the 9th and our second rd pick is it worth it?? YES!!! we basically would be trading for example levi brown and say lamar woodley for brady quinn...would you trade a potential good LT a potential good DE for a potential franchise qb???? do you think if we traded up for marino in 83 ne one would remeber the second rder we gave up??? no im not comparing what quinn could be to marino but u get my point....and again i state i love culpepper but lets solve this qb issue for once....its not our biggest concern for the present yes i agree (oline def is) but really if its a 1st and a 2nd to lets say the skins for the 5th pick to take quinn i would looove it....:dolphins:

Culpepper can break him in!

i would trade up for quinn or we probably will search for another franchise qb for the next 10 years

montrealfinfan
02-19-2007, 04:45 PM
what do we have to lose, the last time we drafted a qb in the 1st round was in 1984 and that worked out. Plus I trust Cam.

2413fanphins
02-19-2007, 04:59 PM
Not unless he shows me ALOT more in the combine or somewhere.

this has been beat to death. I still want to trade down for more picks.
I saw nothing from quinn in college.
And I have heard all the excuses for him just as I did harrington all year long.

If culpepper comes back, I am not exactly in love with the idea of paying top ten draft pick money to a guy who will be our backup quarterback for the next 3-5 years.

Draft a qb in later rounds, or sign a FA and draft a qb next year.

Would I trade a potential Lt and OLB for a potential QB.. NO.

Yes, we talk all the time about getting a franchise QB, this is finally it. Snag Quinn, even if we have to trade up.

Regan21286

Quinn is looking like the right guy for us. He helped bring a down-trodden football team up from the gutter and into the top 15. He's perfect for a middle to short game with a few long balls tossed in. He can work under a bad OL and he's never had a D like us before. Even if our D chokes, he's used to having to come from behind. Plus, he's got the charisma, work-ethic, and leadership coaches want out of a QB.

02-19-2007, 06:13 PM
Absolutely draft Quinn if he is available. What people are not understanding is that rarely are teams in a position to draft potential franchise QBS. We may be in that position with Quinn. Charlie Weis is very high on this guy and thats good enough for me. He knows a thing or 2 about Championship QB play. We can't sit back and HOPE Daunte will be healthy. We must be proactive if Quinn is there and if Culpepper comes back strong we have a bargining chip for a future trade. We missed out on Brees twice, can't afford another QB screw up.:dolphins:

I would love for the Phins to pick him up if he falls to #9. If not, I would go with Brown (if he's still there).

GO PHINS~!

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Quinn, and I think trading up would be a huge mistake in this draft. But if he is there at #9, there really is no way we can pass up on him.

Hell, Trade up if we have to........QB is the team leader....Brady has the "it" factor to LEAD......been a long time coming man! :yeahthat:

Yes, we need a QB to groom for the future.

trate121hb
02-19-2007, 08:45 PM
ill say this i think we draft quinn at 9 if hes there without a doubt....now i would put oe thomas and calvn johnson as guys id rather trade up for.....im still a cpep believer and have trouble giving up on him....and el limon might be the answer at qb for the future...what i like is that cam should know if lemon can play....i think he'll also make the right decision on cpep bc it wasnt his investment in the first place

marcodolphin
02-19-2007, 08:49 PM
yes to the quinn

DesertEagle1088
02-19-2007, 08:58 PM
why not. we would be in a win win situation. culpepper a proven guy who could mess up again and then quinn would get his shot. either way we would be secure at the most important position in all sports

02-19-2007, 09:09 PM
No, he even looks like Joey Harrington.

I've stated my thoughts on Quinn before, and I'll say it one more time for the record: I ABSOLUTELY wnat him to be our next franchise QB. Whether he's there at 9, or we can make a reasonable deal to move up, I think we have to find a way to get Brady Quinn in a Miami Dolphins uniform. Hiring Terry Shea is a great sign and first step to it happening!!

I wouldn't be upset by any means, but I'm leaning towards improving the Oline and giving Daunte a legit chance.
Im sorry but I don't see Daunte doing anything anymore, He will never be like he was in Minnesota. If we have any chance at Quinn, I think we take him.

I wish I could predict the future as well as you can as far as daunte is concerned... but if it's between bringing in trent green or trading up for quinn/russell I am more in favor or trading up.

The Confessor
03-21-2007, 11:32 AM
I hope Daunte does return to his former self, it would be nice to have Quinn watch from the bench.
Miami has a snowball's chance in Tucson of getting Quinn, but I would be giddy as a little school girl if we did....
