Well since my 2K7 doesnt work and my Gears got pretty scratched what am I to do with a 360 that scratches up my games? I called 18004myxbox but they dont list my problem, I need help.

man, call back...talk to a person.. a broke 360 sux, but having paid $400+,for that 360, and it breaking sux even more..

seriously dude, keep tyring until you get a live body..
i would also e-mail until they answered back...

but man, try to get someone on the line..

i havent tried gears(hear its awesome), i play r6vegas, and oblivion, and madden..
hurry and get in touch with them, so we can clan up in the casino...

Well I was thinking like saying I got the 3 flashing red lights but then explain to them my real problem. I just want to know if they will give me a new syestem with new games since the 360 screwed up 2 of them.

t6hats a tall order bro... why does your box scratch discs? did you move it, while it was running? or is it just older?
the red light theory is good, but they may see thru it b4 you can make any real progress...
e-mail, call back, push 0 on the automated system until you get an operator, email, call, acll...
man. i dont know what i would do without the box bro..

yea if you move it while playing discs it will definetly scratch it, also make sure your 360 is laying flat, not standing up. standing up it has a potential to scratch discs up with one of the drives.

my friends did this and stopped once he layed it flat. also man, not thast im advicing this... but if your game doesnt work, rent it from netflix or something and swap em out.

I have the exact same problem, whenever i play 2k7, i get a disc read error halfway thru a game, then i take it out and put it back in and it works fine. I have been doing this for 2 months, however now it wont play at all. My COD2 i get a disc read error about once every five times i play it. I've only played my Rainbow 6 twice and it hasnt done it at all.

I have mine standing up vertically and i never touch it, maybe ill try it horizontal, and my 2k7 is really scratched up from my 360, i was planning on waiting until i have time when i dont need the 360 to send it in and get a new one(i bought the 2year warranty from microsoft). Keep me updated on your situation, b/c i seem to have the same problem

When i play a season(all i've tried) it doesnt get past the loading screen. Do you think its the game itself? or all the scratches that the xbox put on it?

if you need to return the system start calling now.. itll take about a month or so for them to actually send you a box to return the item, after that theyll actually ship it back decentkly quick

Does your 360 manual tell you you can play it both hor and vert?

Because the PS3 manual says you can play both and if leaving mine vertical like I do scratches my discs I'm going to rip into some ***.

Well I called them and they said "Xbox 360 is fine" "Dont leave your games in the system when your done playing"

I would like to say I am pissed off and would like to know it doesnt say that in the Manual.

How would leaving the game in the system when its off scratch it? It seems like they just tried getting you off the phone

He said that even in the dashboard.

He was also saying when the disc spins at a fast rate it causes a vibration and causes the CD to go off the tray by a little bit. I then said well couldnt that be the cause of the problem? No of course not its my fault :shakeno:

trust me man call again....and make a big deal about it....... theyll always play it off at 1st.... keep at it andf theyll do somethin gabou tit.

2 with 360 and once with xbox original.

like i said trust me... theyll eventually admit it..but you gotta be a little bit of a hard a$$ and get a reference number each time.....and tell them this is the 2nd or 3rd time ive called bla bla blaaaa. they will eventually help you.

squeaky wheel gets the grease...not just in this instance but throughout your life....If you have been wronged stand up to that company (in this case Microsoft) and they WILL help you.

If a telephone rep is not helping you ask for a supervisor. Don't give up.

What problems did you have?

disc read error on origianl...they wanted 200 to fix it and i had just bought it, i went crazy wen they said that... and got it fixed free....

then on 1st 360 i had 3 red lights after about 3 months of having it... again they said it kinda wasnt there problem....that i needed the warranty.... i went crazy cause you shouldnt need to buy a warranty for something under a year.....bla bla bla..... took me like 3 times calling them to finally get it resolved. got a new one for free.

then my bro just got one and his hard drive came broken.... they told him to take it back to store, but he got it online and it woulda cost shipping, so i said no it was there problem, they manufactured it broken....so they had to replace it. then they gave me a beat around basically that i just need to buy a new hd..... and smoothly was getting out of everything (they are very well trained) ..... i said no.... that they had to do something. so they said ok well send a replacement box to ship broken one in and then wen they receive broken one theyll ship a new one back.

well after 2 weeks nothing ...so i called and they gave me a lame excuse that i had to wait a couple more weeks.... cause it has to go inorder of calling (just some bs there trained to say to give you the go around) so i said no.......that it had already been 2 weeks..bla bla bla.... and they said theyll ship it out asap.

2 mroe weeks and nothing. called again...... this time they said that the 2 other people i spoke to were mistaken that it was my job to ship the hd in if i wanted a replacemnt (yea more bs) so iwas like fine shipped it in next day with number they gave me.

well guess wat another almost 2 weeks passed and nothing....called again... now im fn pisssssed... almost 2 months of bs to get a flipping hd. went crazy asked for supervisor (took forever for guy to get on phone) explained everything...and i had a new hd in the mail within about 3 more days.

long story on the last one but that happened only about a 3 months ago...so i know ther bs. stick with it man and get a little pissed....teyll do somethign about it.... and dont let them play stuff of smoothly there very very good at that.
