INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Peyton Manning has agreed to restructure his contract with the Indianapolis Colts to save the team nearly $8 million in salary cap space.

Poor poor Peyton....he might have to get in the soup line. I am sure he will do a few extra commercials so he doesn't miss any of that money. :wink:

Now thats being a team player and doing whats best to win more championships! But who are we really kidding the man is probably still making a fortune off endorsements and everything!

Yeah, he wont miss that money at all. He'll probably shoot a commercial making fun of himself for restructuring and make every penny of it back doing so. Nice to see him contributing to the well being of the team though by doing this.

He wont miss the money. He just converted a roster bonus into garaunteed (sp?) money. No biggie. Happens all the time.

In reality he is helping the team's cap, but not losing money at all because the garaunteed money gets pro-rated over the length of the contract. I hope I made sense there :)
