As an athlete (not as a person) I liked Tyson in his prime. He was a knock out machine.Sure Ali could float like a butterfly, and sting like a bee, but I still think Tyson would have hurt him if they were matched up (prime to prime).Go ahead and flame me now.

Barry Sanders deserves to be on the list also, and I can't leave out Marino.

But the top athlete for me would have to be Lance Armstrong. The man has overcome quite a bit to rule his sport.

Lance Amstrong the bike guy? What did he overcome? I don't know.

Nope, not Saskatchewan...from just outside Toronto and am a die-hard Leafs fan...grew up watching Wendel (one of the only good thing about some very bad teams) and have idolized him ever since

I have 3.

Jackie Robinson-He was way before my time, but you have to have the utmost respect for the guy. No athlete had to endure what that man went thru.

Dan Marino and Larry Bird for the same reason. They both were great, and singlehandedly made me fall in love with their team. The quality I respected most about both of them is they didn't care about the money, fame, or how they came across. They just whole heartedly couldn't stand losing. They gave 110% at all times and when they fell short it wasn't something they could take lightly. I am the same way. Just like them I can lose with grace, but it tears me up inside.
