Thanks Clump, and pardon my cap-space ignorance, but what exactly do the MORE-NO-LESS mean? Does tha mean that we are actually 2.6 mil in the hole?

What this means is Miami's salary cap is lower by the amount above.....

Miami's adjusted salary cap is $106,390,572

The Bills have an extra $3 million and their adjusted salary cap is $112,000,000

Vikings cap is $118,338,540

Where is Minnesota getting an extra 9 million from? Is this due to LTBE incentives?

I believe its from not likely to be earned incentives from last year that were reached.

I'm sorry, you lost me. I thought the rules were the entire league's adjusted salary cap is $109mil in 2007? What is all this...this team goes up and this team goes down? I've not read anything about what you are talking about...

English, please?

Every team starts at the "unadjusted" $109 million but each team is subject to a cap adjustment. The cap adjustment is based upon LTBE/NLTBE in the previous season. Thus, each team has an "adjusted" salary cap after the cap adjustments are applied. As you can see, 2 teams have a zero adjustment, so their "adjusted" cap is the $109 million.

For further explanation in case anyone missed it...

A team gets a positive cap adjustment if a LTBE incentive was NOT meant the previous year.

And, they get a negative adjustment is an NLTBE incentive IS earned.

Minnesota and some other teams use this as a loophole to purposefully write incentives that are "LTBE" knowing they truly will not be met in order to get this adjustment.

Ironically, I'd bet that WW cost us a few bucks against the cap this year...
