same thing i was thinking...

The Pats have absolutely exploded in FA and now with talk of possibly landing Moss.... the Bills locking up several lineman, and now this.... its crazy... and we have yet to do anything... but have patience people, we will get some good players.

Very good pick up for the Jets. If it is indeed for a second rounder, isn't it funny that it cost the Pats more to get Welker then the Jets to get Jones?

The Bears traded Thomas Jones and their second-rounder (#63) for the Jets second-rounder (#37).

Don't worry, it's not always the teams(actually it rarely is) that make the high profile moves that have good FA periods. last year we let go of Mawae, Law, Abraham and others and brought in guys for $6 mil in guaranteed money and we won 10 games. You build through the draft and now you have extra picks from that steal of a trade w/ Welker.

And the AFC east continues its dominance as probably the toughest division in football.

Thomas Jones is a huge addition for the Jets... Theyre going to be tough next year...

From what i am reading, you guys are signing Porter!! Great job!! I hate that we have to face him twice a year, but the division is getting stronger every day!!

Great job Fins!

I think this could be the best deal in the free agency thus far. A probowl caliber RB, and all they lose is some spots in the 2nd round? Great deal. Jones should thrive behind that much improved offensive line, but that would only be in 14 out of 16 games  Great move though.
