Stanton has been rumored to have had some incredible proday workouts. If you were a NFL GM, how soon would you give up a pick for his talents? 1st round? 2nd?...

he wont be a first round pick. i think he would be around for miamis 2a pick and maybe 2b.

yes i think he will be the first taken in the 2nd but that might not be until mid to late round cuz i think there will be alot of o-line taken in 2-3 rds. i might would even like to take troy smith in the third or fourth. exspecially if we trade up and get calvin johnson cuz we probably wont be able to get staton. cam cameron has take shorter QB (6 foot) and making them good. just look at drew brees. he is the same height as smith. i think his mobility is exactly what miami needs cuz of our line.

Probably a 2nd round because of QB inflation in values due to this being a weak class. If he came out last year, he probably would've gone 4th round.

I hope you guys are right about him being around for our 2A than we might actually land him.

I would like to see him in a phins uni.

if stanton came out a year, he would have had better draft position, regardless of all the fine qbs last year produced...

what ive been trying to say for months in this board is that stanton's play fell off this year, not because of his ability but because of the MSU program...

last year, he was not questioned, to the same degree about his passing judgment...

in my mind, under the right coach, he can be the best qb in this draft...

i wouldnt be surprised to see detroit pick him up...with msu doing so poorly last year, the detroit media knows how good stanton is...and im sure this hasnt skipped over the detroit lions...im telling you...ive been on field level where quinn and stanton played...stanton is just another level physically...he might be behind in football knowledge but i think a good coach like cameron or martz would catch this guy up to speed in no time...hes a very smart qb...at msu they left him out to dry on several occassion, with lots of poor play calling...i cant tell you how many times i saw an option sweep for stanton, as their version of running the clock out....

Stanton won't make it out of the first round. If the Phins want him, they had better use the #9 pick on him.

looking at ur mock phinatical, i wouldnt be surprised to see the phins slide down, take staley or olsen then try to move up in the late 1st early 2nd to take stanton...

Most mocks have the fins taking him in the 2nd.

Thanks aj. I would love to see that scenario and given the number of holes the Phins have to fill I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Phins do just that.

I think Stanton will be drafted in the first round to a team like Baltimore.

I saw a piece on Ben Patrick. Very impressive player. Don't know how he will translate to the NFL but might be worth a try.

Late first early second.

I dont think we would get a chance at him where we are in the 2nd. I think we have a better chance Quinn falling to us at #9, then Stanton falling to us in the 2nd.
