A question that we need to debate on, should our team trade the following players and what should we get in return.

1 Jason Taylor - He still has gas in his tank. Late first rounder.
2 Zack Thomas - Still very good he might miss a game or two. late second rounder.
3 Rickey Williams - what can I say about Slick Rick, you know the deal. Depends on who the trade partner is mid third rounder.
4 Daunte C. - We should not give up on Pepper just yet but when we must. Late third.
5 Chris Chambers - What can I say rollercoaster. Late third.

This is not something I want to see happen, just something to talk about before the draft.:bdh:

#4 ABSOLUTLY NOT!!!!! Give him one more chance. I need more than 4 games to determine his future with us.

1. The day that happens is the day JT punches Wayne in the face. Franchise players like that are invaluable. You can't put a price on that.
2. See above.
3. Probably 4th to 6th depending on his reinstatement.
4. Any pick teams would be willing to give up would have worth. No team is even willing would trade for him. That's how low Culpepper's value is.
5. Probably a 4th or 5th.

I think you got most of them wrong mate, I doubt we get any of the value you mention for the first three. We might get a late third for C-Pep, and I actually think we could get a late first for Chambers.

The only guy that will be on the team in 3 years is Chambers. So why not unload them now to contender, and give them a shot at a ring. God knows they won't get one here in Miami. The front office let them down up to this point. LET THEM GO, AND BUILD A YOUNG TEAM WHO'S BEST YEARS ARE AHEAD OF THEM. You'll find new players to endear. It is a business after all.

Zach & Jason are pretty much irreplaceable, Ricky is probably untradeable. Chris is the closest thing they have to a #1 WR (with experience) right now.
As for DC, if he doesn't fit Cam's offense, I hope they can get decent value for him.

The day ZT and JT are traded is the day I become a Jets fan. They played their ***** off every game, even when they knew we had no shot at the playoffs.

Wow fellas dont take this so hard its all good, lets just have a little conversation about this.
If anyone one pay attenion to the news you would have heard that JT has been poundering retirement over the last couple of seasons, so my thinking there is not totally out of question.
Zack is my boy allways loved him and I allways will, give him a chance to win somewhere else because at the moment it doesnt seem we are superbowl bound, so trade him to a contender like Chicago.
With Daunte read what I said, we should not give up so fast but if it must then thats what I would try to get in return.
With Chris he is in my opinion better as Wes but who would give up a second rounder for him, Wes could play different positions thats what made him so valuable to the Pats.
Rickey He is one step away from being banned forever and you dont want that hanging over your head year in and year out now do you?
Take a deep breath, its not like any of this is going to happen, its just talk.
How many of you would put your feelings for individual players over the improvements of the entire team?

If I were calling the shots Culpepper would be outta here already, and I would probably go aead and trade Ricky too. I like the guy (he was a Lnghorn, what's not to like ) but he has screwed us twice now and I just don't want to deal with it anymore.

Taylor and Thomas would be retiring as Dolphins (not this year, lol, just eventually)

Chambers would stay, because he is a Pro-Bowl WR stuff in a HORRIBLE QB mess. We have seen that when he gets in rhythm with a guy he shines (and makes the Pro Bowl). The problem has been the QB musical chairs we play, so he never has a chance to get comfortable. I don't think he's a GREAT WR yet, because great WRs can adjust to any QB coming off the bench and still make the plays, and Chambers always takes awhile to adjust, but he is a GOOD WR. I think if we bring in a young guy (Quinn hopefully) and they both make an effort and put in EXTRA work with each other, it could be something great.

IDK if we would fetch a 3rd for Culpepper. We gave a second last year and he was ABYSMALL and is still unjured, so I don't see getting a first day pick for him (unless the GM is an idiot).

I have no clue how to judge what we may get for Ricky. Talent-wise, in his prime he was a 1st (although IDK about 5th overall like he was picked by NO), whn he left us I'd say a 3rd. However, with the 2 BIG drug suspensions, and all these new, stricter rules for law-breaking, I'm not sure we could fetch more than a late-rounder for him given his character history.

Zach and Jason are untradeable for cap reasons and Mueller already said that the thought of trading either one of them was ridiculous.

It will be very difficult to trade Daunte he probably just gets cut, unless there is a specific place he would want to go to have a shot at competing for a starting job; like Kansa City or Cleveland or Oakland. Then he may be willing to take a huge pay cut for an incentive laden contract. Otherwise he wouold probably just choose to be cut and then see what he might get as a backup in the open market.

Two guys we should defintely trade are Williams and Booker. Williams for obvious reasons like his history, his age, his performance in Canada last year.

Booker because we can save 3.5 mil in cap free and clear with no dead money and he is over 30 or 30ish. Send them to Green Bay with a TE and a couple 2nd day picks and go for their #16 pick.

Trade Chambers, a sixth and a seventh to the Jags for their 2nd rounder.

Very creative! I think when the right trade situation comes along all players are expendable, its sad but true. We should also think that our team needs are more important than any one or two players regardless of how long they played for us. For me it was sad the way Dan Marino left the team, they had little trust in his abilities, I thought at the time ´How dare Wanny come here and treat our dearly loved Hall of Fame Qb this way.´ but in the end you have to say Wayne H. decided to go in a different direction, he pretty much gave Wanny the power to to make all personel changes. Those are things we as fans must come to terms with, the teams needs are the priority not individual players. Sorry if that hurts but in a game where winning is everything, you have to take the salt with the sugar.

What TE would we send to Green Bay? Would we send David Martin BACK . So we send Ricky Williams, Marty Booker, a TE, and 2 picks that are any combo of the 4th, 6th, and 7th rounders we have, for their #16? No thanks.

As far as trading Chambers, WHY? You want to give up a Pro Bowl WR, and 2 draft picks for one 2nd rounder. To draft whom exactly? Who could we draft in round 2 that would top Chambers' production that we COULDN'T get at 40 or 60?

Chambers production?????? What production???

We could have raided any teams practice squad and got the same or better production we got of Chambers last year. Don't even begin to try to say Chambers was productive last year. He wasn't productive enough for 1 mil let alone 7.

I would trade Chambers in a heartbeat for half the players I see projected by scout to go in the 2nd round.

The Martin comment was inane. And yes, one well chosen 1st rounder is worth Ricky and Booker. For all we know Ricky is finished. The bhagadavida may call him back to the ashram. What do you think 30 year old has beens are worth?

So Chambers, who made the Pro Bowl with GUS friggin FREROTTE throwing to him could be replaced by practice squad members because he had a down year? Yeah, last year was ALL Chambers' fault, cuz, you know, it COULDN'T have anything to do with going through 3 different QBs all season, most games switching back and forth between 2, and those two being JOEY HARRINGTON and CLEO LEMON. You're right though, Chambers is garbage, toss him out for practice squad players. :rolleyes2

I supposed if Randy McMichael were still here you'd want him gone too because of his bad season? Maybe replace him with the guy who paints the field lines?

Our entire WR corps was down in production last season, INCLUDED former Pro Bowlers McMichael and Chambers, but I guess they are just crappy players and our QBs threw them perfect, on-the-target balls and got it to them 20 times a game huh? :shakeno:

Because of that talent we didnt make the playoff, thats why McMike is gone.
We need to improve and not keep certain players because they have only talent, we have had quite a few talented players that didnt live up to their abilities. In modern football thats not enough anymore, these guys get awesome amounts of money so they have to produce year in and year out, thats what we need.
