Could this also be a hint as to who might get the cover? I mean, I know getting a 100 rating in an attribute in Madden is groundbreaking, if you want to call it that, but could they/would they throw Hester on the cover? Who was more electrifying than him last year? Tomlinson?

Do you think other players will have 100 ratings in certain attributes? Maybe Peyton's awareness 100? Or this would only be limited to Hester?

I know Hester is fast, but i always thought he was more elusive than just break away fast... i think Tedd Ginn is faster....

:chuckle:

Seriously though, when I watch him play its his quickness and elusivness that jump out at me, not his speed.

It's his vision to find that crease a split second before it develops. Deion had that. Once he sees it, he burst through it before the defense even realizes it.

Straight line speed is a completely different thing. When Hester was on the Canes he didnt even have the fastest 40. Game speed is different.

I agree

And I still don't think he deserves a 100

I would have to say they they'll put manning on the front

Probably not. That's a little excessive. But considering what he did this past season AND in the Super Bowl, it's warranted. Of course, in my honest, humble, unbiased, opinion.

(Super Bowl XLI Fact: First 2 td's were scored by 2 former Canes.)

lets hope the league adjusts to him like they did, Daunte Hall...
ps. any decent roster dowloads out there worth getting?...placing newly rerouted FA's on thier current teams?

According to his prospect profile on NFL.com, he ran a 4.51. If that is the case, that is WAY slower than a LOT of the people already in the league, let alone some of the rookies coming in, so WHY would he get a 100 rating? If anything he should get super high agility and elusiveness ratings, but not speed, especially a 100 rating with a 4.51 40 time.

Agree with you 100%. 100 speed should go to a guy like Steve Smith and Deangelo Hall.

Hester has incredible game speed, and his ability to stay at full speed when cutting is unlike anything else. I can't wait to play with him...except sometimes when I use him, I'm too quick and I always overrun stuff already

You make a good point here.

On the other hand, I cant believe this is even a point of discussion.

I mean c'mon people, Madden ratings?

Hester at 100? What a joke. If Hester qualifies as 100, what are they going to give Ted Ginn, Jr.? 105?
