only thing, hadnot isn't a LG hes a RG/C so kalil seems pointless unless LJ goes to LG which i doubt.

Not bad, but no OT ??

In that scenario, i would rather trade down a few spots and pick up an extra pick in the 2nd or 3rd. But other than that, I like it. Especially the Kalil and Stanton picks.

I could live with that, as well. In all likelihood, though, if Quinn is still there when Washington picks we would trade up.

To do that we would have to give up a 2nd (probably), which I am not to keen on, and if we didn't we would have to draft Stanton in the 2nd....and there is no telling if he would even be there when we picked.

Too bad we can't convince New England to give us 2 late firsts for the #9 !

I think they would pick Craig Davis before Mike Jones. Davis and Ginn would make things interesting. But doubt Davis falls to the 3rd.

i would rather have kolb then stanton. plus it would be nice if we could trade down with dallas or the giants and get a 2nd rd pick and a 3rd pick then we could get some firepower on offense.

that's a nice foundation to start with on offense.... i'll take it

Ginn and Stanton i see as project players..... but what do you think this offense is ?
Teddy will still make an impact just by being on the field his rookie year IMO tho.

this mock is not good at all. Ginn is more of a reach at 9 than Brown would be and the Fins biggest need is an offensive tackle. So its either Brown, Staley or trade down in the 1st and get Staley. Also, Khalil is a great center prospect and will not make it down to the 40th pick, lotta bad olines in front of the Fins in round 2. Drew Stanton is a safe pick which I understand and I dont know anything about the kid from Iowa. Minny doesnt go with Quinn either. If Landry and Peterson are off the board, they would most likely go with a DE, Jamal Anderson or Carriker are good picks for them. (One of Minnys starting DE's finished the season with ZERO sacks.)
*I do however like the Lions pick. I believe Lions go defense in the draft as their offense is pretty set with the additions to their Oline this offseason*

it was said that to trade from 9 to 6 it would only cost us our 3rd !!!

IMO there is only a couple picks right in the top 10. If Quinn falls that far, then we need to trade up. If he is not there, then we could either trade down or take Levi Brown. Ginn will not be anything more than a return specialist and a third receiver. Stanton will not last until our third pick. Here is my first 3 pick mock so that you will know where I stand.

1st pick Quinn, if he is not available to us in the 6-9 (trade up if he gets close to our pick) then either trade down or take Levi Brown.

2nd pick Stanton if no Quinn. If we get Quinn then best OL available. Maybe Kalil.

3rd pick (2b) best OL

Completely agree. Our first pick has to be Quinn if he gets past Detroit and Cleveland. If he's gone after 3, then we take Olineman in the first and Stanton (if available) in the 2nd.

Just say no to WR and DT in round 1!

Pass on Ginn. Go with Levi Brown or Leon Hall

I prefer Kolb over Stanton.

Higgns in the 3rd.

We could manage a move up to #6 with our 1st and 3rd round picks. There is a 15 point difference (in their favor) but I don't think that is a big deal. If it is, we'd offer (assuming we want to trade up for Quinn( our 1st and the Pats' 2nd rounder, which is 50 points more than the #6 is worth, so we could pick up a few late round picks, or something for next year.

good draft.

Mike Jones in the 3rd?! He's got a 5th round grade. We could pick him up in the 4th round easy. Josh Beekman or Marshall Yanda would be the pick there if we went OG in the 3rd.

And there's no way we pass on Josh Wilson, Kenny Irons, Samson Satele, Ikaika Alama-Francis, Sabby Piscitelli, Jason Hill, or Michael Bush if they fall to the 3rd.

Ginn over Brown? I would be shocked. Ginn is a playmaker, though. Exciting. Fast. Hard worker. No character issues. But if we draft him at #9 then we were unsuccessful at trading down.

Kalil is virtual lock for the 1st round. Samson Satele is a better fit for us anyway.

I don't see Stanton falling to 60. He may not fall to 40. If he does, I would be shocked if we don't take him at 40.

I like that draft, but give us an OT in R3... James Marten perhaps.

But any draft that nets us Ginn, Kalil AND Stanton is a TERRIFIC draft. One of the best I have seen.

Also, Im curious why you believe Satele is a better fit for us than Kalil.

One knock on Satele is he comes from a pass heavy offense, so he may struggle run blocking... With Ronnie and Ricky, we're going to be doing a lot of running. Not that I wouldnt pick Satele if it was good value, but if he and Kalil are both sitting there, you take Kalil.

Kalil is a technician. Satele is a brawler, better suited to the power-running game used in the Zampese offense.

We could pick up Adam Koets (Oregon St) or Ryan Harris (Notre Dame) in the 4th round.

Also, I wouldn't call it TERRIFIC unless we were able to trade down, acquiring an extra pick or two, and still drafting Ginn in the middle of the 1st round.

Nearly every team would love to trade down and acquire more picks. The fact is, it rarely happens because the price is just too high to make other teams want to move up.

But I agree, I would love to trade down. Just not that feasible, unfortunately.
