I didn't see this posted yet (it may be in the NFL forum, but this post pertains to the draft), but he signed with the Panthers to backup Delhomme. That puts a wrench in a lot of things. For one, he won't sign with Oakland, Detroit, Cleveland, or Minny, so it hurts the chances of Quinn slipping to us. Two, for anyone who wanted to sign him and give him a shot should we not get a QB in the draft or Green, that won't happen now, so if we don't get someone in the draft and don't sign Green, we are looking at the same situation as last year :(

We'll see how it pans out. There might not have been a thread because it is in the "Miami Dolphins" section already. Anyways miracles do happen...

i doubt he will back up delhomme next season, but david carr is my favorite player so i'm probably bias. i'm sayin carolina super bowl champs if he starts. I don't think we should draft a QB now though, but if we do i hope its jared zebranski. Id like to see him as a back up QB here. It starting to look like were gonna have to sit through a culpepper season. Not good.

I was very disappointed that the Dolphins didn't go after Carr with more enthusiasm...and I'll be even more disappointed if in fact we do have to endure another season with Culpepper in and out as our starter.

You're so right my friend, This Carr thing is gonna come back to haunt them! First Saban and now Cam seem powerless over the spell that Daunte has over this organization. Will he ever get better? Will he return to his 2004 form? All of it is a bunch of nonsense right now but at least we could deal with by having a starter like Carr on the roster. Maybe Carr will be another Joey? Maybe not, but the Panthers just signed him to a 2 year 6 million dollar deal without giving up any draft picks and our 9th pick in the draft will get double that in signing bonus alone! And if we had signed Carr then there would be no obsessing over Daunte, no draft day plotting for a quarterback, no stress. Now the positive spin is... Cleo is awesome. Whew!!!!
