Good player, but if we're spending a first round pick on a LB, it better be Patrick Willis.

Like the others just said, if you are going to take a LB in the 1st round Willis should be the only choice. Willis is going to be a great NFL LB barring injury.

If Beason falls to our late 2nd round pick I'd grab him because right now we have two LBs that are 30 and up.

I can just imagine the talks between crowder and Beason "we're the national champs" "ya but we beat you guys last time we played".

If we don't draft quinn with our first pick I think we'll take Stanton with our second.

I think we'll probably go qb/receiver or receiver/qb and then grab a lb or offensive lineman with our late second.

I think it may be in case we are able to trade down in the draft, possible to a position where the Ole Miss linebacker won't be available because perhaps he would have already been drafted...

I love Crowder, but in a 3-4 D, we would still another LB, so Zach can groom him. Taylor-Crowder-Thomas-Porter, this is how the combo goes.

PFT has a terrible mock draft...they have us taking receiver with our first two picks...wtf??? then trent edwards with our other 2nd rounder...no way

Yeah, I don't think anyone is really under the illusion that we're considering him for the first round pick. I think with him being in the same town, it made sense to work him out and if he fell further than expected Late 2nd or even 3rd (you never know), we'd have a better idea of his skills then. More of a courtesy than anything else.

LB in the first round doesnt sound that bad but if we are going D we should focus on the secondary

If we took Beason over Willis...it'd be a sad day in Dolphin land. If Beason fell to the 2nd...Kalil fell to our 2nd...and we took Beason over Kalil...it'd be a sad day in Dolphin land. Well for me at least.

Ryan Kalil isn't our center of choice apparently, it's Samson Satele with his greater anchor ability.

I'd be surprised honestly if Rex Hadnot does not start for us at center for a long time. Centers improve with time and it's worth keeping him, he just needs to get a little bit lighter.

Miami is NOT considering him w/ the first round pick . . . this would be for our second round pick . . . and this team DOES need LB depth. I mean it depends who is available . . . but if Big Beas is there at 60 . . . man I would think about that.

PFT always have terrible mocks. I really like Dwayne Bowe, but I don't think he's value at #9, we could trade down and grab him. Steve Smith is no better than what we have now, I don't even think he's as good as Hagan. I love the Trent Edwards pick though.

Back to Beason, I think he's only here because he's a local prospect. We always bring guys in from the U, even though I think he's a good player, we would never consider him at #9 and I'd be pissed if we took him in the first at all.
