Ive been opening myself to the possibility that we may be out of luck in landing a QB in the first. And for Oakland and Detroit and others picking before us in the second we may even miss out on Stanton. After watching some of the video on both Stanton and Kolb, I actually found good in both but I feel Kolb has a better arm. The first link is Kolb and Stanton is second. Tell me if you agree. Watch the way they both throw on the run, but Kolb throws that thing like its hot. Ive tried to find some video on Trent Edwards but to no avail.

By no means would I pass on Stanton in the second, but I would be a little concerned about his ability to throw the deep ball. Kolb is a deep threat, no doubt.

Go phins.

I would be happy with either one. I don't want Quinn!!!!!

How about John Beck from BYU this guy has some talent too, too bad he will be 25 when he is drafted but in 2005 he had 3,709 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions with a 64.5 completion percentage in 12 games. In 2006 he threw for 3,885 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions while completing 69.3-percent of his attempts.

I think John Beck would be best suited in a West Coast Offense. He could really find a niche there. If Oakland decides to go with Calvin Johnson with the #1 pick, Beck would be a solid pickup in their next couple of picks.

I dont know but that Jon Beck kid sure can play and some team will be very lucky to Draft this kid....... Im not saying I wouldnt like Staton or Kolb or Edwards. All Im saying is the Beck looks like he can really bring his game to the NFL. Will see if Cam and Mueller give him a look.

Out of Drew Stanton, Trent Edwards and Kevin Kolb, I like Kolb the best with Edwards second. I think Kolb has really good tools and a nice gunslinger mentality. Edwards has had a very difficult time staying healthy and Stanton seems like a mobile Kerry Collins.

Beck is going to make some team very happy they selected him. He is mobile, has a strong arm, and is a true leader on the field. His walk-off-the-field touchdown pass to Johnny Harline against Utah this year was one for the ages. I hope we give him a really good look.

Stanton is wayyy more accurate and powerful in his throws than Kerry Collins.. so i dont really see what ur saying

I don't agree that Stanton is more powerful in his throws at all. A more mobile Kerry Collins? Defeats the comparison entirely...

Try J.P. Losman without the good senior year.

The more I see of Kolb...the more I like him. He reminds me of a Dan Marino, with mobility.

One of the knocks on Kolb was he used alot of shotgun...while I don't believe that is a downfall....lets all remember that Marino made a living out of the shotgun...watching that tape shows that Kolb is as comfortable behind the center as he is in the shotgun.
Kolb throws as nice ball and shows he can lead his receivers even down field.

I also think Kolb has the better arm, and is a tougher guy. Stanton tends to look at his receivers a little too long. Let's go with Kolb.

I agree with you about the arm strength, but the toughness factor from a physical standpoint efinately goes to Stanton. Remember this guy played special teams. Kolb is probably more mentally tough though, meaning he probably has a better short term memory where he can recover from a bad play more easily.

It's amazing to me how Troy Smith is continually left out of the draft talks.

This guy could end up being the best of the bunch but nobody seems to want him????

yeah heres a video about john beck... i mean i would draft quinn but i wouldnt trade up to get him. if hes not available then we have our choice of edwards kolb and beck... i no particular order but i watching the video of beck and kolb those guys are my two faves. in this video pay attention at how many throws he makes knowing that he will take a shot. Hes mobile like kolb so i say just draft one of these guys and lets give c-pep another shot while our first year qb learns the ropes.

Over 60% of his completed passes came when throwing out of the pocket. People seem to think he cant throw over the line. He doesnt have the over the top delivery that Brees had with the same height. There are only a few QBs in the NFL that are 6'0.

Have the Fins showed an interest in Kolb? Rank your top 5 Qb's and the round they're "worthy" of being picked in. Thanks!

Pete...you forgot to rate the QB's...

Sorry...I see this draft as a weak draft for QB's...both Quinn and Russell have their downsides....and I can see that there's better value in the mid rounds for a QB in this draft.

As far as ranking them...

1- Russell...on potential only...I'm not sold on him...reminds me of a young Culpepper...big arm...little mind. He could be great...or easily a great mistake.

2- Kolb

3- Quinn

4- Beck

5- Edwards

Thats the way I see it...not saying it's right or wrong...just my opinion.
