Assuming Quinn is gone and Miami chooses other positions than QB with its top pick(s). Who would be the best QB to draft in rounds 2-7 who would be a good fit for the new offensive scheme. What do you think of Jordan Palmer? Thanks!

The best fits are Kolb and Beck.

Palmer is a turnover machine who can't throw to the right side of the field with any consistency. He's just not the decision maker that Cameron wants in his system.

Most teams have Stanton and Edwards as the 2nd and 3rd guys. Not sure if Kolb's background as he was part of the Houston system which traditionally does not translate to the NFL. He does have decent mesureables. I agree that Palmer will be a flop. Personally, after Stanton and Edwards, I'd rather wait until next year to try to get a young QB and reinforce the offensive line to protect a young guy when he get's here. I still have my fingers crossed for Quinn!!

Easy does it there!!! The next John Elway's team was 1-10 last year. Guy has potential, but Elway may have been the most talented QB ever and had every tool.

Stanton, Edwards and Smith would be the next best three. I personally am not convinced that Quinn is even the second best.

Boomer, what do you think of the Kolb/Kingsbury comparisons? Kingsbury put up ridiculous numbers at Texas Tech, but he was a system guy and is stuck over in NFL Europe now still trying to develop. It makes me worry about taking a guy in the 2nd or 3rd who might need two or three years before being ready to even try to compete for a starting job.

I like Stanton's heart, but I saw Kolb play against the Gamecocks & he looked really sharp.

I think Kolb is much more suited to the pros than Kingsbury.

If Edwards is the next John Elway we better take him at 9. But if that's the case, move over Calvin and Jamarcus, you can fight to be the 2nd overall pick.

Cool, thanks. When does Liverpool play again? Looks like the Gunners might actually lock down that fourth spot. The hot rumor going around now is that we might bring in Ribery. Would definitely help us on the wings. I'm a bit tired of playing central players outside who don't know how to properly stretch the field.

And Cesc finally scored a goal yesterday. Thank God.

Trent Edwards=Next John Elway?

In 35 career starts, he had 36 tds and 33 picks, has a durability issue and doesn't throw a great deep ball. The only thing he has in common with Elway is he is coming from Stanford.
