Our D is so much better than our O, but everyone has us picking D in the first round. We need some play makers on offense. We need new life in the offense. The defense will out play our offense and doesn't need help.

Id be so dissapointed if that was our draft.

2 of the first 3 picks on defense?!?!?!

Terrible.

Bad mock, it would be stupid not have us go OL on the first day.

If coaches believe in either Fred Evans, Manny or Rod Wright, they won't draft a DT.

Terrible.

The first three picks are Okoye, Gonzalez and Beck. And he has us taking Harris in the fourth. Thats three offensive players out of five, and there probably will not be an offensive player worth taking at nine anyway. I really hope that we do go offense heavy this draft, I'm just not sure those are the right guys to pick. Gonzalez is good, but I'm not sure if he is worth the 40 pick. There is no way that Beck is worth the 60, I would rather take a chance that he'd be available later or go with another QB. Harris would be a solid pick in the fourth if he lasts that long.

kiper use to be entertaining when he was kind of the only draft guru and Chris Berman would praise and kiss his butt on draft day. Now he's a herky jerky shill for himself trying to charge money for every word he utters. he can be replaced about 100's of other guys that are draft maniacs doing the same thing.

Yah, I hate this mock as well. The first 3 picks sucked. I like harris in the 4th. But if draft Gonzalez in the 2nd at 40? Imma cut somebody

Falcons traded picks to get Levi Brown, a guy who many people say shouldn't be in the top 10? I doubt it. I see Laron Landry falling to them.

Also, this is the first draft I've seen Gaines Adams going 2nd in. Everyone else has Joe Thomas or Brady Quinn to Detroit.

Kiper also is insanely fixated on big names, so he'll always have them going high. Case in point is Dwayne Jarrett to the Cowboys. Most have him in the second round, but Kiper has him above Meachum. This is like "Mike Williams is the #1 prospect in this draft" all over again!

Levi Brown is going in the top 10. He is not a reach, he's just a bad pick

This isn't the first draft with Adams to the Lions. He's in fact their target apparently.

Also this draft overall is terrible.

With Blalock available we go for Gonzales? It would be a dream if Justin Blalock were available.

He has us passind on Stanton in the second. ??????
He has Jarrett going before Meecham.
He has us taking a DE in the early rounds.

No idea what dolphin needs are or where players are going.
Okoye is a realistic pick at #1 because he is the player with the most upside in the early rounds. He can play NT contrary to what everyone is saying. He will bulk up in the next 2 years.

I agree that Levi is a bad pick for that high, which is why I question the Falcons trading picks with Houston to grab him. He very well could go in the top 10, but everything I've read makes it sound for the lack of O-linemen in this draft he normally wouldn't be taken so high. He could help a team, like us, but I just would rather he be taken later by us if we were to trade down (wishful thinking).

As for Adams, I personally have not seen other mocks with him at 2, but I could understand how some mocks could have him and am sure they are out there. With Martz in Detroit, and also Millen's track record, I seriously think the Lions will want to go O at pick 2. If they go with Calvin Johnson AGAIN Millen will be laughed at for being a one trick pony.

Yeah, this mock is terrible. I just don't see a lot of teams' needs being met. It seems to be more skewed towards who Kiper values.

I agree on taking Offen in the first and if its not there we trade out and combine our picks(have to many) but not way it falls like that, thats a bad mock ,what is kiper thinking!

Remember Kiber is great for player evaluation. He's not very good when it comes to predicting picks.

Our needs on offense don't justify reaching for an offensive player assuming all the good ones are gone before our pick, especially when there is so much defensive talent available. The draft isn't the quick fix some of you want. It's a long term process, unlike FA.

Also, it's a longshot that we can find someone to trade down with. Every year there are several teams looking to trade down in the first round, and yet every year we see MAYBE one or two such trades. It's simply not that easy. The only way it possibly happens is if someone slips that someone REALLY wants. But, if that's the case, it's probably going to be someone that we want as well, like Joe Thomas  (NOTE: I AM NOT SAYING JOE THOMAS MAY FALL TO US!! Just using him as an example.)

Finally, never underestimate Detroit's ability to pull a Millen on draft day.
