View Full Version : 10,000 Phin Dollars to Top Finheaven Draft Guru

RenoFinFan

Here is your chance to show your stuff and lay claim as finheaven's top DRAFT GURU. I will donate 10,000 Phin Dollars to the fan who is the most accurate predicting the players Miami will take in this year's draft. Here is the deal...

1. Create a list of 10 players in the draft and 10 players ONLY you think Miami will select with this year's picks. Players can be listed in any order. I am NOT asking you to identify the round Miami will pick the player (this way if Miami makes draft day/pick trades it won't get too messy).

2. ONE list per member. You can EDIT your list until the beginning of the draft (11am EST Saturday April 28th). I will copy this thread at 11am EST Saturday April 28th and the winner will be determined from that list.

3. I will donate 10,000 Phin Dollars to the fan who has the most players selected by the Miami Dolphins also on their list of 10. In the event of a TIE the 10,000 Phin Dollars will be split among the winners.

:D Good luck...I reserve the right to create my own list in this contest and thus keep my Phin Dollars for myself and lay claim to being finheaven's top DRAFT GURU!!! (No offense Boomer)

Since the "In the Know people, whom are PAYING VIPS" won't tell us what fins dollars are. I found out another way from Google.

It's fake net money that's based on what's called vbBux/vbPlaxa which is a vBulletin MOD that gives users access to like 200 Site OPTIONS etc. which they can buy with points acquired via post count, lottery & thieving points from other users .. .. you can donate points to other users also ..

-------
Here is more info:

You can buy user titles .. username font, bold, color ect.. immunity to theft .. lottery tickets .. cause awareness ribbons .. that go under location ect .. just fluff to make your posts look more customized .. plus options like .. bolden thread name .. change other users title ava .. ect ..

You steal by buying the theft option & naming the user you want to try & steal from .. a admin chosen percentile chance of successfully stealing from them .. if you fail you loose the points you would have stolen .. so you have to have the points comparable to the amount you want to steal ..

Admin | mods can choose to be immune to attacks or play ball .. the vbPlaza has a bank .. that offers interest .. but you cant buy stuff with your points unless you withdraw them .. but if you have too many points out of the bank .. or forget to bank your points .. your vulnerable to theft attacks ..

-----
Currently only VIP can access this option, which in my little pea brain is lame to offer to someone who first of all hasn't been told what it is or secondly that even if he wins that he can't use it if he is not a vip.

Again I ask why not offer something substantial like one months free vip access or even free access to the draft chat.

I know you vips will be upset with me as usual so what, offer something real or forget about it.

Let's see which group comes does a better job forecasting the draft.

Gee man, lighten up. Just for fun it would be interesting to see how the two groups (which already exist and have separate access) faired against one another. It's kinda like the officers against the enlisted men. :D

Absolutely awful.. Why waste a 2nd round pick on a QB if you have one in the first round ?? This team has many pressing needs to be filled, and could use that pick to fill one .

Ten most likely players to be picked by us (In no particular order):

Brady Quinn (QB - Notre Dame)
Kevin Kolb (QB - Houston) - Will not happen if we draft Quinn
Joe Staley (OT - Central Michigan) - Will probably not happen if we draft Quinn
Doug Free (OT - Northern Illinois) - Not likely if we draft Staley
Dwayne Jarrett (WR - USC)
Paul Williams (WR - Fresno St.)
John Wendling (S - Wyoming)
Courtney Brown (CB - Cal Poly)
Kasey Studdard (G - Texas)
Daniel Sepulveda (P - Baylor)

------

If anybody gets more than four of our picks correct, I think they're worthy of the Draft Guru label...

Only about 2 hrs left to get your ten picks in...remember this isn't a round by round selection. The person who chooses the most draftees who get selected by the Dolphins gets GURU status. :goof:

Why one hour? It's over according to your own rules.
