We all know who everyone wants... but who are the players you absolutely do not want and would be very angry about if we drafted them?

Mine are...

Alan Branch - I was at one point pro branch, heavy pro branch, but talks of laziness and not being ready for pre draft workouts scare me... he was probably able to breeze by on talent alone in college... in the pros it takes talent and hard work...

Adrian Peterson - He is the reason im not a total fan of drafting BPA... yes he is a great player, and going to be a great player, but in the salary cap era you cant pump that much money into one position, even when that position is RB where you can utilize 2 good players... the amount of money we'd be pumping into him and Ronnie would be too much...

I would be mad with Levi Brown, Willis,Branch,Hall, olsen if we reach that far. But as time passed I would be alright with it. I think we can get good talent later in the draft which is why I wouldnt spend our first pick on Brown, WIllis would put Crowder on the bench and I dont like that, Branch like you said and I want to draft offense with our first pick, Olsen I would be happy with at 14 or 15 not at 9 though.

Hall, Branch and Ginn.

in that order

Olsen to be sure, probably Branch too. Other than those two guys, I like just about all of the prospects, although I understand Okoye wouldn't fit our system very well.. at least at his current weight

we're goin BPA so i guess if we passed on a player i thought was better, i'd be bummin'....
Okoye may be a nice pick at 9 but i think Evans and Wright deserve a shot.

Alan Branch, Amobi Okoye - We do not need a DT, we've got some nice prospects already on our roster.

Adrian Peterson - We already have a franchise running back in Ronnie Brown.

Ted Ginn Jr. - Does not strike me as a #1 receiver, and if you're a receiver drafted in the Top 10, you must be #1 type caliber.

Just a month ago everyone wanted Branch. Branch, Okoye, and Levi Brown are the most likely choices. Laron landry would be another choice if he was still available. Leon Hall and Greg Olsen are reaches. Pat Willis could be a dark horse. I wish Brady would fall but it won't happen. Bottom line is that we will geta good player because Randy Muellar does his homework.

The early safe (letdown) picks are Adam Carriker and Joe Staley.

I agree. Everyone else we've talked about here though I consider a big upgrade. So as long as we don't go DL, I will not be upset with our pick.

QUINN, he is a 2-3 year project. Miami needs help now. If Miami was planning on spending #9 pick on a QB, they would not be courting Green.

Miami picks OL at #9. Sorry, not sexy but a major need for too many years.

alan branch or levi brown!!!

Ginn, Branch, basically any wr at #9 (2nd round is the time for wr), any OL not named Thomas.

I would be excited with Willis, Anderson, Landry, Peterson.

WRONG. Miami needs help for the future. We are not re-tooling, we're rebuilding an offense. And with every rebuilding offense, you need a franchise QB. Trent Green will only be with us for a year or two then he retires/gets replaced by rookie QB.

I would take Peterson out of consideration. There is no way Mueller would even consider him, in my opinion.

I would be disappointed if we take any of the following:

-Adam Carriker
-Joe Staley
-Greg Olsen
-Alan Branch
-Amobi Okoye

I would probably eventually get over my initial disappointment if it was someone like Branch, Okoye or even Patrick Willis. I also am very intrigued by Joe Staley, but 9 is just too high to pick him. Carriker looks like a high motor/effort guy, but I just don't see anything spectacular about him. I can easily see him being a solid player for 6-8 years, but I don't see greatness at all when I watch him.

The early safe (letdown) picks are Adam Carriker and Joe Staley.

I've been round and round on this one today, so I'll keep it short- Staley at #9 being a safe pick is almost funny. I'm with you on Carriker, though. Quite a player, great size and quickness, can probably play DE or DT. I'd still rather go offense than Carriker, though.

Alan Branch, Levi Brown, JaMarcus Russell (should there be some weird time-space continuum problem and he slides that far )

As long as we go offense I'll be happy. We really need help on that side of the ball so the #1 pick has to be offense IMO.

There isn't a single player we could draft at #9 that would make us contenders NOW, so either way it will be a few seasons. Plus, even if we get Quinn, we are still targeting (and most-likely getting) Trent Green who will run the offense for a year or two.

Any DL. Wouldn't be too happy with Ginn, but I would get over it. I would be surprised if we took Olson.

Levi please.

Levi Brown, Okoye, Leon Hall, Dwayne Jarrett, Greg Olsen, Jamarcus Russell, Marshawn Lynch.

Would not mind:
Brady Quinn, Joe Staley, Ted Ginn Jr., Calvin Johnson, Darrelle Revis, Joe Thomas, Gaines Adams, Adrian Peterson(Trade Bait), Reggie Nelson, Laron Landry, Patrik Willism, Adam Carriker, Jammal Anderson.

Basically if Quinn isn't the pick it isn't going to be a great pick without a trade down, any which way we go.

Unless we trade somebody afterwards but that's another story.

Branch, not only is he a questionable talent at that level of the draft, but we just don't need a DT with the depth that we have at the position. Okoye may be able to play some DE, sort of like Holliday, depends on the formation, so I wouldn't mind him, but definitely no to Branch.
