I'd take him over any Qb in this draft. He will be the next Peyton. If we don't get our Qb this year, I would love to get our hands on him next year.

Brian Brohm will be the QB to get next year. But no point in worrying about that, as Quinn will be our QB.

Not sure on Booty, but with him Brohm and Brennan, etc it may be a better class.

booty will be competing for the jb with the guy who transfered over there this year. i forget his name but he is good and was the #1 QB prospect coming out of High School last year. so he might no even be the starter. i would much rather have quinn or even john beck

There will be some good qb's coming out next year that is for sure, but Booty wont sniff the top of that list.

John David needs a lot of work done. We'll see what his Senior campaign does for his stock. It will make/break him. Right now, he's a 3rd rounder IMO. Could skyrocket to 1st round or even top QB prospect in the draft, depending on his performance, though I doubt it because IMO Brian Brohm is the next Peyton Manning.

You mean Mitch Mustain? Not hardly. Mustain made a mistake transferring to USC. First, he is going to have to sit a year, then he is going to have to battle Tyler Davis who they are very high on.

Booty is going to be very good. Brohm will too. Next years Qb crop is going to look pretty good

Definitely higher than five my friend. Colt is an amazing prospect.

Booty has a little ways to go before he can be considered a top end draft prospect. Heck, if you followed USC at all this year, their fans were calling for Sanchez (backup) at times because of his poor play. However, he was surrounded by great talent that propped him up when he played poorly, and when he played well, their offense took off. He did improve an awful lot from the beginning of the season to the end, and if he makes another jump like that during next season, he will be a first round pick. The guy definitely has the arm for it, he just has to put everything together.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little...I just gave props to a Trojan. :shakeno:

No Jared Gaither on the LT class?

Yes I agree I just copied and pasted off a draft site so its not my rankings. Just to give a heads on who is available. I like the LT's the best next year, could be like the Pace/Jones draft year. If both Long and Baker had come out this year they were ranked ahead of Brown already. Long might have been the top LT.

The QB and LT class for next year are very strong, and that is why in my mock draft I stated that we should trade down 4-5 spots this year and gain a 2nd rounder for next year. When the 2008 draft comes around we will want all of the extra picks we can get to use to trade up for our franchise QB/LT. That is also a reason why I would like to see us get Green in a trade, and then take Kolb or Beck as a young QB to groom for the future. If we use a
1st on Quinn that means we cannot touch a QB for several years, and IMO he is not worth taking as our franchise QB.

We gave USC's Booty a real thrashing (pun intended). Now compare that to Brady Quinn's performance against UCLA. Plus, Booty might not even be able to hold onto his job next season, which is a shame because I like his interceptions.

No Jared Gaither on the LT class?

These were not my rankings and I think they are only SR's next year. As far as Gaither goes he could be a Stud. Huge physical talents at 6'9" and 335 pounds, also set o-line record at Maryland with a 36 inch vert jump. Allowed no sacks in over 500 snaps as a true FR at LT. Played mostly at RT last year and was very good. He has allowed less sacks in his FR and soph seasons combined then L. Brown did in SR year.

Oh yah, definitely. I wasn't pointing you out if it seemed like that. I was just saying I think he's rated higher than that as of now. I appreciate you posting that for us though.

No problem man I did not think u were. It just seems that every year we have a top ten pick the draft is weak or lacks the positions we need. This year are two biggest needs are QB and LT. Next year is strong at both and at tackle it may be the best since the Pace/Jones draft and even deeper.

Booty the next Peyton? :err:

I wouldn't be surprised if he's not even a top 3 QB in next year's class, let alone better than Quinn or Russell.
