Here's our theory/hypothesis/idea we yanked from our anal cleft: We think that, with the Browns widely believed to be choosing between CAA clients Quinn and Peterson at No. 3, the well-timed disclosure was made by CAA to help take steam out of talk of conflicts of interest and other unsavory matters

Dolfans are dream of Cleveland choosing Quinn we can all forget. His agent has just come out and said Peterson will not be able to participate in any of the offseasons program do to injury. Hope we can trade down and snag another 2nd.Kevin Kolb here we come.

Not at all. Assuming Oakland takes CJ, Det. takes Adams/Thomas, Cleveland will likely take Russell whom Savage has been in cahoots with since Russell was in HS.

Furthermore, Petersons injury apparently was known to teams, yet there wasnt much talk of him dropping. I think that teams already were wary of his injury history and this wont change much unless its severely reinjured (not sure on the details yet.)

Anyway, Quinn is still very viable if Russell and Quinn are both still there at #3.

I like your optimism, but the chances have just dropped Dolfan.

I agree - Quinn is out of our reach now...Although I think I would rather have Beck than Kolb.

We need to start researching on the second tire of QB's. My personal favorite is Kolb and Beck my second. My prediction is Miami will take Staton if the rumors are true of Beck going ahead of him to Detroit. Baltimore can snag Staton in the first if the rumors are true of them wanting a QB that early. That would leave us with only Edwards and Kolb for us lets not forget about the Vikings they pick ahead of us. I dont want to sound negative, but there are plenty of teams out there who need QB's. ANd we have 3 teams ahead of us if you include Baltimore, Detroit, and the Vikings that can all snag QB's. In honesty I dont think the VIkings take a QB in the 2nd again, but Draft day crazier things have happen like WR for 3 years straight.

quinn is still in play for us...teams new about peterson's injury for month's now...including cleveland it's not serious peterson is still going to be a steal come saturday the browns still are eyeing him...at 3 and joe thomas who may be the pick as well the browns have more oline on mash then any other team in the nfl...quinn will be a fin my dreamboat!

Well we all know that he will play in 2007, but his stock just went down and Quinn stock just went up. In fact from the moment the Raiders gave Quinn a contract offer his stock rised. Ill go a step further at this point I would not be surprised if Detroit snagged Quinn.

He mentioned it. Bryan Im a huge fan of your work, but seriously man everytime you go crazy for someone it never happens. First it was the Coach Chin, and now it is Quinn. Im not saying there are not chances for Quinn, all Im saying the chances for Cleveland to draft him just went up. You think Cleveland wants another injured player after dealing with Winslow, Bentley and if not mistaken Edwards was injured his rookie campaign as well.

PFT has been very reliable lately guys. Things usually get posted on PFT and spread all over the Internet, its no coincedence this guys are being invited to radio shows.

Anyways Suppose Quinn is gone, who do we snag? In my opinion you have to BPA and it would obviously look like this:

Landry
Okoye
Brown
Ted Ginn Jr.

Are you guys ready for my sleeper:

Staley

I still say it's Russell to Cleveland, it could still be Peterson. Teams have known he was injured for a while now I'm pretty sure, yet still fawned over him.

Also I don't think it would be smart for Cleveland (or any other team other than Oakland) to tell the world who they are going to take before the draft. This actually gives Detroit great ammo if they are serious about trading back. If Cleveland really wants Quinn they are stupid by saying it days before the draft giving teams time to trade ahead.

Why do people even bother mentioning Ginn at this point? Take Brown over Okoye because we need a LT and not so much a DT in a 3-4. Landry will be gone and if he is not, then we have a tough decision to make.

I am beginning to hate this speculation crap. Lets hurry up with this thing and let teams stop the BS'n and get on with the reality already.

Because of his gamefilm, the fact that we have shown extreme interest in him, and that he ran a 4.38 on an ankle that isn't 100%

I'm not saying take him, but it isn't out of the question.

Give me Staley (at 9 or a little later if we trade down) in the first and the Kolb or Beck in the second...

OAK using Quinn did NOT raise his value 1 bit ...

It is clear to EVERYONE that OAK will pick Russell or Johnson ....

Quinn only enters the equation as a buffer to ensure that Russell is 'signable' at #1 .... this is just prudent business !

I'm sorry but I'm not buying it. Si is about as reliable as PFT. Anyone remember when they were annoynting Marcus Vick as the next great NFL QB??? I believe it was in October or November's issue before 2 years ago.

Any how, why isn't this on the reliable sites like ESPN??? I checked and it's no where to be found. This would be a HUGE story. If they post it later then I'll give it credence, but not now.

Also this isn't just leaked info if it's true. It might be just leaked to us, but be sure all teams interested have done their due dilligence and beyond on all these high picks. So maybe Cleveland never had any interest in Peterson from the start. If that's true then we never had a shot at Quinn in the first place.

Listen Brady Quinn is anything but a sure fire franchise QB. He has many noticable flaws that should detract a team from reching for him. Cleveland has to know just because he is a hometown boy that it doesn't change this. Take Charlie Weiss and his Patriot roots out of the equation and would Quinn be as sought after?? Nope, and you all have to realize that. People like to connect the dots becasue he shares the name Brady. Be certain that the wiess coaching and name similarities have many people thinking he's going to be like Tom. He is a HUGE gamble at 3.

I want Quinn to be a fin because he could sit and learn and develop at a proper pace. We have a QB guru in Cam and soon Green as a mentor. In Cleveland they don't have that luxury. They also have 3 times the holes we have and a coaching staff on the way out. Not exactly ideal

So maybe we never had a shot at Quinn, or maybe this is just a leak to make other teams panic, who knows. I for one am not pushing the panic button for these very reason.

If Cleveland takes Quinn at #3, I think we should either take L. Brown at #9, or trade down and hope we can draft J. Staley late in the first. Out of all the second tier Qb's available this year, I think I like D. Stanton the most.....

Where's the link that says the Raiders offered Quinn a contract? On the contraire all I have heard is that the Raiders spoke to his agent but no contract figures were ever discussed.

Without a link there is no truth to your statement.

Yes. His 413 Brady Quinn posts, when taken in totality, truly summarize not only the hopes and fears of the dolphin community, but of a nation in general. :D

I think Pro Football talk had a blurb on it. Apparently it was more of a low-ball offer, and my guess is that they're really just using Quinn as leverage. Despite what the original poster wrote, Quinn's stock doesn't rise because of it.

First off, Russell is going number one.. second, what does "talk of him dropping " have to do with the actual teams. The media does talkin and the dropping on these mock drafts. They have very little insight into what teams are actually thinking. My guess is that all teams know this and Peterson will drafted in the middle of the first round.... you can forget about quinn

AP has stated that his collar bone has healed and it is stronger than before. i dont believe he injured it again. i dont see Clev passing on his because of a collar bone because that is an injury that gets stronger after it breaks.

plus if CJ goes first GA second then Clev will take Russell not quinn
