If every team had the chance to go back and pick differently, what changes do you think would be made?

1 Houston Mario Williams DE North Carolina State
2 New Orleans Reggie Bush RB Southern California
3 Tennessee Vince Young QB Texas
4 N.Y. Jets D'Brickashaw Ferguson T Virginia
5 Green Bay A.J. Hawk OLB Ohio State
6 San Francisco Vernon Davis TE Maryland
7 Oakland Michael Huff SS Texas
8 Buffalo Donte Whitner SS Ohio State
9 Detroit Ernie Sims OLB Florida State
10 Arizona Matt Leinart QB Southern California
11 Denver Jay Cutler QB Vanderbilt
12 Baltimore Haloti Ngata DT Oregon
13 Cleveland Kamerion Wimbley OLB Florida State
14 Philadelphia Brodrick Bunkley DT Florida State
15 St. Louis Tye Hill CB Clemson
16 Miami Jason Allen FS Tennessee
17 Minnesota Chad Greenway LB Iowa
18 Dallas Bobby Carpenter ILB Ohio State
19 San Diego Antonio Cromartie CB Florida State
20 Kansas City Tamba Hali DE Penn State
21 New England Laurence Maroney RB Minnesota
22 San Francisco Manny Lawson OLB North Carolina State
23 Tampa Bay Davin Joseph G Oklahoma
24 Cincinnati Johnathan Joseph CB South Carolina
25 Pittsburgh Santonio Holmes WR Ohio State
26 Buffalo John McCargo DT North Carolina State
27 Carolina DeAngelo Williams RB Memphis
28 Jacksonville Marcedes Lewis TE UCLA
29 N.Y. Jets Nick Mangold C Ohio State
30 Indianapolis Joseph Addai RB Louisiana State
31 Seattle Kelly Jennings CB Miami
32 N.Y. Giants Mathias Kiwanuka DE Boston College

Here's how I see it playing out if they did it again today. Assuming the people making the call didn't change at all, and they still had the same team needs.

Also, here's some worthy 1st rounders (just didn't know who to bump out of the first round to fit them in):

Greg Jennings WR Western Michigan
Devin Hester CB Miami
Maurice Jones-Drew RB UCLA
Jerious Norwood RB Mississippi State
Marques Colston WR Hofstra

I'm curious to see how you think the first round of 2006 would play out after seeing everyone play in the NFL for a year.

no way the texans would have taken bush to do it over... bush benefited of having duece there and he could exploit matchups as a receiver, bush didn't scare anyone as a runner... if he would have had to carry the load in houston, forget it...

texans would have gone vince young

besides that im not trying to think that much, aha...

Oakland would have taken Leinart or Cutler.

Apparently, Al Davis was angry he let Art Shell talk him into drafting Huff. (Heard it on talk radio, so take it for what it's worth.)

Im pretty sure Leinhart and Whitner would have went higher and Jason Allen would have been a second rounder.

Marcus McNeill should definitely have been the first O-lineman taken. He went in the 2nd round last year and ended up at the Pro Bowl. He even got more votes for rookie of the year than Reggie Bush did. It's rare for a rookie to play left tackle for a right handed QB. It's very rare for a rookie left tackle to make the Pro Bowl his first year. He got screwed out of winning the Outland Trophy for the best college lineman as a senior in college by some guy people will never hear about in the Pros. Obviously he proved ALL the analysts and draft gurus wrong.

He made a big difference in how well LaDainian and Rivers played last year. We can only hope that Cam and Randy can land us an O-lineman like McNeill this year. Cam knows all about McNeill, he coached him last year.

The Saints would probably take Colston in the first if Bush is off the Board.

If they knew then, what they know now...
