Raiders | Deal with Cleveland a possibility?
Fri, 27 Apr 2007 12:05:48 -0700
ESPN's Ed Werder reports there is a chance the Oakland Raiders work out a trade with the Cleveland Browns (http://www.kffl.com/team/13/nfl) during the first round of the NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159). There is speculation the Browns (http://www.kffl.com/team/13/nfl) could send WR Braylon Edwards (http://www.kffl.com/player/9179/nfl) to the Raiders (http://www.kffl.com/team/28/nfl) in addition to the No. 3 pick overall for the first-overall selection.

I guess if this were to happen Cleveland would go Russell, no way they draft Calvin Johnson first overall.

hmm i dont know, if they are trading braylon, they would have a glaring hole at WR... i wouldn't be surprised if they did this to take CJ

Braylons had his bad moments - blew up with coaches, frye, etc on the sidelines, dropped a lot of balls, also has has some injuries, although he does have potential...

so cleveland goes CJ, det thomas/adams, and oak russell? Could leave us Quinn!

If this happens, it pretty much means that CJ is going #1, and the 3rd overall pick will be a QB. Of course, it could just be because Savage wants Russell that badly...but then his best receiving option is Kellen Winslow.
