I'm going to get one of them soon but don't know which one yet. I'd like to know which one is your favorite and why?

I know that Nintendo owns Mario and XBOX owns Halo and PS owns Zelda. the main factors are price and graphics

Go with whichever one you want.

I have a Wii, right now, but if you want to get a PS3 you should do what I'm doing and wait until there's a price drop and when the good games come out.
and the 360 has some solid games out now.

why do people create these threads over and over again... it's just gonna spark an arguement over sales figures, exclusive titles, gimmicks, and prices. Nothing productive will come out of it, and it'll be 10 pages of fighting.

Let's get ready to rumble

no need to apologize...just do some research on the 3....i would recommend passing on the wii...and if you are a home theater buff, then maybe the ps3 is more up your alley....

real quick what are the prices of each system? I think the Wii is the cheapest and the PS3 is the most? I have an XBOX right now so I'm thinking of getting the new XBOX

I guess it will depend on how much I get from selling my current XBOX  I have like 20 or so games as well so I might get enough for the new XBOX 360 from that. I have money but as a college student I need to save up for other things

Doubtful

If they are recent, popular games you might get close. Good Luck.

yeah I just did some research and the XBOX could sell for 40-100$ and that many games will only be about 50$ so at the most I'll have 150$. I'm still going for that XBOX 360, it has better games

I doubt it. The XBOX died in a hurry ever since 360 hit it's prime. It barely has any resale value. You may get 30 bucks for it.

The games maybe 2-5 bucks each. I know it's ridiculous but people don't care. Credit is credit though.

XBox 360 is the only system of the 3 I've played so I can only give you that. I'm sure PS3 is a little better just based on what I've seen when I go to game stores.

Plus I will always prefer the Playstation controllers over anything else :)

really? the 360 controller is imo phenomenal and can be used for pc's too....much better than xbox 1's or even ps2's.

At EBgames right now you can trade in your ps2 w/ a etra controller and a memory card and you get $100 toward the purchase of a ps3.

dont get me wrong...i loved the ps2 controller...and then got an xbox 1....personally i liked the big xbox controller but i have big hands, i didn't like it better than ps2 though...

but the 360 controller is the best gamepad to date in my eyes...i haven't picked up a ps3 controller yet though.

PS3 is a better deal even though it costs more for the base set. If you want 360 to play HD movies you have to pay the same price for it. And then it still can't support 1080p (that's what I hear, correct me if I'm wrong) or HDMI cable hookups. Also I'm pretty sure PS3 comes with a bigger hard drive for $600. Not to mention that online play with PS3 is free. It's only a matter of time before developers learn to use the superior power of the system and the much higher blu-ray disc storage capacity. According to another thread on here Rockstar is already having problems being held back with GTA4 development by the inferior Xbox.

If you don't care about movies in HD and you're just looking for a bigger game selection now then obviously Xbox is what you want.

Personally my favorite controller ever was the PS2 controller. I don't like the R2 and L2 buttons to be like triggers as they are on the PS3. The triggers aren't as responsive as simple back buttons.

I got 87$ for my XBOX and the games combined, I got the Wii BTW and I like the motion controls

For your FYI, here is what I found:

Sony Playstation 3 Console – has an average expert rating of 80 (based on 8 expert sources)

Nintendo Wii Console – has an average expert rating of 85 (based on 18 expert sources)

Microsoft Xbox 360 Premium System – has an average expert rating of 85 (based on 7 expert sources)

Based on the above, it is clear that Wii has caught up with the best while PS3 lags further behind.

So you just connect through the USB?

Because when I worked at circuit city, I know we had PC controllers that were by microsoft that doubled for the 360. But I didn't know if it worked both ways or not.

The wired 360 can be plugged into the PC and it works instantly. The wireless one requires a wireless adapter that connects to the PC via USB for $20. The play and charge kit doesn't work with the wireless one.

:tantrum:

I only have wireless.

I only have 3 controllers, maybe I should just get a wired one next time I see it used.

There is a driver hack that lets you use your PS3 controllers via bluetooth with your PC.:cooldude:

Right now xbox360 is the best because the amount of games wii and ps3 are lacking in games at the moment. I am looking to get a ps3 once more games come out making it worth my money. As for the wii i got it for christmas played it a lot until i beat zelda which is my only game as they don't have much yet either.

These opinions don't carry any more weight than anything posted in this thread. Wii's got a nice price but it seems way too gimmicky for me to buy one.

I have a Wii and a 360. I have a roommate and we're both gamers. The Wii never gets played simply because there isn't anything to play on it. People give that hing way too much credit. The price point definitely sells it.

Agreed. Even with the limited number of games and price, I'd take a PS3 over a Wii.

I just bought a 360 and i love it. I considered the other 2 systems, but the games that Xbox has out now and the fact that Halo 3 is coming out later this year led me to buy the 360. The gameplay is very good and the price compared to the PS 3, I felt it was the best way to go.
