View Full Version : Blizzard are nice people and this is one lucky but unlucky kid

Blizzard and the Make a Wish Foundation hooked up a 10 year old tumor patient.

This little lucky runt (granted he has a brain tumor, so he ain't that lucky)
had a custom NPC made for him in WoW and an unattainable mega crossbow. His new crossbow shoots a fiery arrow that does 300 damage over 10 seconds. I think it stacks too. It's only one of it's kind.

It's pretty cool that they hooked him up like that.

don't really know much about the game at all but i assume that 300 damage is awesome since most games don't go over 120. thats pretty cool though

Well I'm pretty sure it's an orange item and is now one of the rarest items in the game (being that it's the one and only). I also think it's funny that the WoW developer warned the kid that all kinds of people will be asking him where he got the damn thing.

People should group up against the kid and kill him for the crossbow, of course then an all our royal rumble would ensue between the survivors, but I'm sure that'd be fun as hell to watch.

That is great. Blizzard can do whatever they want with the game and you know that kid is having more fun than ever playing and showing off. A couple of hours of programming and you have changed this kids life.

Lesson learned: USE FLASHY SIGS

Sorry, I just noticed it (i know I'm late and slow) and laughed my *** off.

You're slow and late, and I'm to lazy to change it. One hell of a combo.

its cool when you see companies do this. When I played DAoC one of my Guild Mates died of Brian Cancer. They had this event for here and named a statue somewhere for her also. Sucks when someone you play with for a while dies.

Because he didn't get the ability to fly, run faster than a speeding bullet, super hearing, heat vision, or cold breath. And those are not fake of course. :rolleyes2

I don't recall reading that his cancer was terminal at this point.
